Prayer Wall in The Sanctuary

Today is Intercession Tuesday. We are few weeks away from the end of the year. We have committed to ending this year strong and ending this year strong means dealing with the strongholds that have had us bound and captive. In 2 Corinthians 10:4, the Apostle Paul explains the nature of spiritual warfare, "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds." So what exactly is a stronghold? Biblically speaking, a stronghold is a persistent and stubborn state of mind that is in direct opposition to God and His will. Paul used this term because the readers of his day understood that a stronghold was a sturdy, fortified defensive structure, which was built around a city for protection. Often times, Christians have emotional and mental strongholds 'built around' their beliefs or opinions. There are many doors that strongholds can enter into your life, but there are three major doorways for strongholds; not confessed and repeated sins, unhealed hurts and unforgiveness and generation. In our lesson, “Preparing for Battle…Fighting for Purpose” we went into depth about strongholds and explained that this battle is not a natural battle but it is a spiritual one. It must be fought with spiritual weapons! And one of the most powerful weapons in our arsenal is the mighty weapon of prayer. So as we pray today we invite you to pray with us. We are taking authority and breaking the yoke of bondage and the chains of sin, hurts, unforgiveness, sickness and disease; relationships, habits and generational strongholds that have had us, our children and family bound in Jesus name!

◊INTERCCESION PRAYER◊

Lord Jesus, Your Word says that Your anointing breaks and destroys all yokes of bondage so I ask You now to cause Your anointing to break and destroy my yokes of bondages; along with all their works and root, in the name of Jesus Christ. Heavenly Father, I ask You to give me deliverance and freedom from all these bondages in the Name of Jesus Christ according to John 16:23.  I am standing on the truth of Your Word. You said You would give me the keys to the kingdom, that whatsoever I would bind on earth would be bound in heaven and whatever I loose on earth would be loosed in heaven according to Matthew 16:19. I bind and loose all spirits of sickness, disease and disorders along with all evil principalities, powers and rulers of wickedness in high places from my body, home, workplace, business, ministry, and finances. I bind and loose them to where Jesus sends them and I bind and command them to stay in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ and I place the blood of Jesus between us.

I now bind my will to Your will and purpose for my life Lord. I will no longer be deceived by the subtle deceptions of this world and the enemy. In the name of Jesus Christ, I bind the strongman so that I may spoil his plan and take back every bit of joy, peace, blessing, freedom and material and spiritual possession that he has stolen from me. I take them back now. I repent of every wrong desire, attitude and pattern of thinking I have had. Forgive me, Heavenely Father , for holding onto wrong ideas, desires, behaviors and habits. I renounce and reject these things in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I loose every wrong attitude, pattern of thinking, belief, idea, desire, behavior and habit I have learned. I loose the strongholds around them that would prevent me from being completely surrendered to the will of God for my life. I loose all doubt and confusion from myself. I have bound my mind to Christ and I loose every wrong thought and evil imagination that will keep me from being in sweet unity with You. 
 
Now Heavenly Father, I repent of the sins of my ancestors’ lives, going back 25 generations that have resulted in a curse or curses on me or on my children. I repent of all and any sins of not keeping your commandments, idolatry, jealousy, envy, bearing false witness, adultery, and murder and stealing. I ask for your forgiveness and cleansing through the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Dear Lord, I ask You to destroy all curses, generational curses, that have been placed on me, my spouse, and my children including ten generations. 
 
I pray right now that we have been completely set free from anything that now binds us. Heavenly Father, I ask you to fill our minds with the gifts of the Spirit of God and your Holy Spirit, anointing and power and cover me with Your presence. We thank you dear God for Your mighty work. Grant me the grace, power and desire to be persistent in my intercessions for myself that You may be glorified through our deliverance. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I pray with thanksgiving, Amen!
