"Intercession Tuesday"

Today is Intercession Tuesday in The Sanctuary and we are in our “40 Days of Healing”. We are addressing areas of our lives that require healing for us to truly walk in purpose and destiny. There is one major area that prevents us from taking that step to living out our  dreams and living in purpose and that is “finances”. Many of us are living paycheck to paycheck or we are overextended, not living in the abundance that we know that we should be so we are very apprehensive on doing what we know we are “called” to do. Our finances is the biggest hindrance and deterrent from living in purpose. That’s why today we are focusing on “Healing in our Finances”. 

Throughout the Bible, we see that God has a lot to say about finances. God wanted to be involved in Abraham’s finances, and he wants to beinvolved in ours. Fundamental principles of Abraham’s prosperity:

◊He honored God, who prospered him. – Genesis 12:7
◊He listened to and obeyed God. – Genesis 12:1-4
◊He was generous, and avoided strife. – Genesis 13:5-9
◊He was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.–  Genesis 13:2

If you want God to be involved in your finances and prosper you, you must honor these basic principles. You cannot be greedy and truly prosper. You can’t receive if you aren’t giving. There is nothing wrong with wanting to have abundance for yourself and your family, but giving to God and being generous to others is part of the spiritual law. And it is important to sow into fertile soil, this can mean sowing into a ministry or someone you know who is in need. 

Solomon understood the principals of prosperity. He was one of the richest men to ever live. “Honor the Lord with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase, so thy barns be filled with plenty and thy presses shall burst forth with new wine”. (Proverbs 3:9-10). But in order to have true riches, the motive of your heart must be pure, to bless others and establish God’s covenant. Your focus should not be materials things and your heart should not be self-centered. The wealth you seek should not be for self-glorification, but to build and edify the kingdom.  We should keep what Deuteronomy 8:17-18 says,

"And beware lest, you say in your mind and heart, my power and the migh of my hand have gotten me this wealth. But you shall earnestly remember the
Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth that He may
establish His covenant which He swore to your father, as it is this day."

God does indeed want to be involved in our finances. Most Christians are defeated in their finances because they believe and confess the words of the enemy and these words hold them in bondage. What we believe and speak affects the natural world, including our finances. God has given us His Word so that we can understand these spiritual laws. When you work with these laws, they work for you. When you work against God’s spiritual laws, they work against you.

When you speak negatively about your financial situation, you have what you say and believe. Here is a very important spiritual law. You can have what you say. With your words you can choose life or death, poverty or riches, sickness or health. You may tithe, work hard, and pray for prosperity every day, but if your words are negative and contrary to God’s word, you will stay in debt, struggling to make ends meet not living in the fullness, purpose and plan God has for you.

Words are powerful; begin to speak life over your finances to bring healing. No good things will he withhold from those who diligently seek him. When your actions and words are in agreement with what God has to say about you, I can assure you that your circumstances will change and will line up with his will and purpose for life. Let’s pray today that God will bring “Healing to our Finances” so that you can truly walk in purpose and his will.

*INTERCESSION PRAYER*

Heavenly Father, we come to You now in the Name of our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. Holy Spirit we pray that You will quicken us to hear our Father’s voice and lead us in prayer. Father, we bow and worship before You. We come to You with praise and thanksgiving. We come to You in humility, in fear and in trembling. We come to You in gratitude, in love and through the precious blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ.

Heavenly Father, in Jesus Christ name, I pray your Word over my finances and I thank You for manifesting Your word in my life according to 3 John 1:2, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in good health even as thy soul prospereth,”. I decree today that I will be blessed in the city, blessed in the field, blessed coming in and blessed going out. I shall be blessed laying down and in my rising up. I am blessed in my bank accounts and investments; they will flourish. The blessings of the Lord will overtake me and my family in all areas of our lives. I will be like a tree planted by rivers of waters, I will bring forth fruit in my season, my leaf shall not wither and whatever I do I will prosper and I know that the blessings of the Lord truly makes me rich and it will add no sorrow according to Proverbs 10:22. And I know that according to His word, God delights in my prosperity. He gives me power to get wealth so that he may establish His covenant upon the earth. And as I give, let it be given unto me, good measure, pressed down and shaken together and running over. I will not be selfish or seek earthly glory. I will not give grudgingly, or of necessity, but to be a blessing to those in  need.

Dear Father, in Jesus name and on the authority of Your Holy word, I call my debts paid in full. Debt, I speak to you in Jesus’ Name; be paid, be gone and cease to exist.  I now declare that all my debts, mortgages and notes are paid in full, cancelled or dissolved. I pray that He will give me instructions and plans on how to manifest my dreams and visions. And I believe that God will give me supernatural increase as I faithfully work the gifts, talents and resources that he has blessed me with. I will no longer just get by, wasting my life away with things that does not bring me satisification and passion. I will walk in prosperity and the promises of God pursing my purpose, purpose and God's will. I pray all these things in Jesus’ Holy Name with thanksgiving. Amen
