3/31/2015 0 Comments He Died for Our Healing![]() We are in a Holy Week, honoring the last week of our Lord and Saviors Jesus Christ life before being crucified on the cross. Before Christ was sent to the cross and crucified He was beaten with fists and whipped. He took all of this upon Himself for all of the sins of all people who believe Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior. The whips used were made of braided leather, with pottery shards and sharp stones affixed to the ends, which tore open, the flesh of the prisoner with each cruel swing of the whip. When we picture this terrible, inhumane form of physical punishment we recoil in horror. Yet the physical pain and agony were not all Jesus suffered. He also had to undergo the mental anguish brought on by the wrath of his Father, who punished Him for the sinfulness of mankind, carried out in spite of God’s repeated warnings, which Jesus had willingly taken upon Himself. He paid the total price for all of our transgressions. Isaiah 53:5 says, But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. The word “healed” as translated from both Hebrew and Greek can mean either spiritual or physical healing. What our Father did for us in deliverance from sin, He has also done for us in physical healing and we are to believe and receive just as much for that wholeness (healing) in Him, in each of our lives. Healing in the case of a Believer is a direct and sovereign act of God's gracious power, as all God's blessings to man, are independent and subject to an all-wise Heavenly Father. So when we ask for healing, we need to submit to God's sovereign will. He may have a purpose in allowing our illness, as not all sicknesses come from Satan, nor are they all contrary to the will of God. I reason that some sickness is the result of another problem, and the Lord will often reveal the root cause of the problem and we are to pray for that root. Romans 8:26 confirms this, it says, "And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words," An example of a root, it has been said that diabetes, many times can be cause or activated by emotional shock, such as sudden death in the family, injury, financial loss, anything that seriously affects us emotionally. Disease and death will be a part of the human condition until that time when we receive resurrection bodies that are immune to such frailties. But God has left us His Word as provision to our problems and sickness regardless of the root and we must put His Word into action with prayer. I know personally the power praying God Word and his healing. He has healed my body and restored me from sickness and disease. But it was a process of prayer, supplication and speaking the Word over my body. Once I discovered the root cause of the symptom, I knew the actions to take and the specific Word to pray over my body and spirit. The Holy Spirit reveals to us the very Word we decide to pray, which will give us Victory in Jesus and we must decree the Word as it applies to the sickness, physical or spiritual, through prayer…because by "His stripes we are healed". Enter into the Sanctuary to pray for healing. Our Lord Jesus, I come to You now according to Your Word and Father and I know that Your Word is true. Lord, Your Word says that if I abide in You and Your Words abide in me I will ask You what I desire and it shall be done for me and by this my Father is glorified that I will bear much fruit.

![]() Now I lay me down to sleep” and “God is great, God is good, let us thank Him for this food.” Unfortunately, all too often those two simple children’s prayers are the extent of our teaching our children how to pray. Then as they grow older we find ourselves wondering why prayer is not a vital part of our children’s lives. The majority of teens and young adults in this country and around the world are growing up in environments that are typically devoid of spiritual understanding. You can observe this in our culture by strolling through a local mall on a Friday night. Just look around. You’ll see girls and boys who appear to be emotionally lost and spiritually bankrupt. The extreme ways they present themselves expose a poverty of the soul. So many young people today are pursuing pleasures, and acceptance in the “materialistic, hookup and substance abuse culture.” They are searching vainly for something that will satisfy their “soul hunger,” but they are unlikely to find it. The sobering news about raising children is that we really have no ultimate control over whether our child will choose the narrow gate that leads to life or the wide gate that leads to destruction (Matthew 7:14). If other experiences in life have not humbled us and shown us how dependent we are on God, then parenting will. Understanding our desperate need to depend on God is the good news. Once we give up the naive idea that we as parents can dictate the choices our children will make and the spiritual gate they will walk through—narrow or wide—then we are ready to slip on the kneepads and get serious about prayer. Prayer is one of God’s most mysterious and remarkable gifts to us. It is our lifeline to heaven, our opportunity to directly express our praises and desires to the Creator of the universe. There is power in this simple act that cannot fully be explained, yet can never be denied. And it is our most effective means of contributing to the welfare of the next generation. Children imitate what they see modeled, and we need to be an example of praying adults for our children. I remember seeing my father pray every morning and remember him praying over us a children and even as adults. If we are hope to see our children become men and women, who know the importance of prayer and make prayer a daily practice in their lives, then as their parents and grandparents we need to be setting the example. How can we do this? Luke 18:1–8 contains a great parable on persistent prayer that must have been for parents. It is encouragement to pray regularly. We are to bring every concern, dream, and desire about your child to God in fervent, persistent prayer. We are to pray offensively. Ask God to protect our child daily from evil influence. Also consider asking God to help you spot your child doing things right so that you can encourage him in making right choices. Pray defensively. From time to time we would feel that one of our teens might be deceiving us, but we could never be absolutely certain. In those situations we asked God to reveal deception. Lastly, I encourage you to pray with your child. It’s easy for prayer to become an exclusive dialogue—you and God, but why not make it a special moment with your child to build relationship and fellowship with you and the Father. The Father wants you to talk to Him about your child. James 5:16 tell us, “The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.” We need to remember that our children and grandchildren will not become prayer warriors overnight, but prayer can becomes a vital part of their lives when we become praying parents! Enter into Prayer for our ChildrenHeavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I thank you for all the blessings you have bestowed on me. Most of all, thank you for this wonderful child/children that has/have taught me more about you than anything else you have done in my life. I have seen them grow in you since the day you blessed my life with them. I have seen you in their eyes, in their actions, and in the words that they say. I now understand better your love for each of us, that unconditional love that leads you to great joy when we honor you and great heartbreak when we disappoint. I now understand the true sacrifice of your Son dying on a cross for our sins. This winter season has been one that has tried many of our patience, emotions and finances. It’s been so cold and it looks as though the snow will never end? This can be the same sentiment we have in the winter season of life sometimes, it feels long and we could use little more sunshine. You have planted seeds in faith, praying and hoping for a new season of growth and opportunities. But you have yet to see the difference or significance from all of the sacrifice and hardship that has been sown. It is in times like these that we must look to the Word which is a seed that will bring new life. God’s Word, like a seed, when planted firmly in the ground will flourish into a unconceivable harvest. Mark 4:32 says. "But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown." With this simple parable, Jesus says there's this mustard seed, and it's a tiny speck of a seed, seeming so insignificant when it's sown. But eventually it grows into this six to ten foot plant that has these large branches that expands exponentially. It may feel like you have sown in faith seeds that are very insignificant and you think what could possibly come of this? Well, an inconceivable harvest, for one thing, as God takes these little seeds that are sown, and He builds His kingdom. You are on the verge of producing that kind of seed. I don't care how old you are, you haven't had your best idea yet. You haven't had your most creative moment yet. You haven't produced your dream yet. I don't care if you have not gone to school, college, or if you were born in the manger, God can make you a manager, owner or President. There is greatness inside of you that is germinating and waiting to break through the soil. It is ready to live. That seed wants to become a tree, that seed wants to become a forest. That seed is screaming, I am ready to break free. The greatest part of you is ready to manifest. Anybody who has left you is going to miss the greatest part of you. Any job or company that did not take you or released you is going to miss the part that would have taken them to glory. They are going to miss the greatest part of your destiny, the greatest part of your creativity. There are business, companies, ministries, and concepts, in you. There are books to be written and concepts to be birthed that will radically change your life. You can't give up and you can't give in! You must confront, push through and continue to put God first if you are going to experience your harvest. People willing to put the kingdom first in their lives and willing to abide in Christ will produce much fruit, but only if it falls on good soil. Don't allow the cares of this world and the deceitfulness to "choke" you so that we cannot bear good fruit. Be encouraged - You are destined for great things, despite your small beginnings, slow beginnings, troubled beginnings, stressful beginnings. The smallest of beginnings have the possibility to grow into something that will be greater than anyone could have imagined from the outset. We have the same mustard seed of the kingdom, and the same opportunity to produce an inconceivable harvest that will expand for generations. Enter Into Prayer To Sow Seeds of Faith Heavenly Father, 3/6/2015 0 Comments Mind, Body, SoulHow often do you get away from busyness of life to feed and take care of your spiritual and physical self? I know all to well that in this life we get bogged down in the stress and survival of life that we do not feed or take care of spiritual (wo)man, physical (wo)man and soul (wo)man. If we are to be victorious in this life these areas must be fed whole, full balanced meals. The Bible says in 3 John 2:1 says: “Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your souls prospers". Prosperity is tied into our body, mind and soul. God's will is that you prosper in all things. His plan is for you to be prosperous in all areas of your life. Prosperity is not just money. True prosperity is actually "shalom" – nothing broken and everything whole and complete in your life. It is peace. Prosperity and health is connected to the prosperity of our soul. How does your soul prosper? Keep it healthy by keeping its focus in the Word of God and by spending time in prayer. Today in The Sanctuary we are praying that God reveal and inspire His people how to achieve what the scriptures says and that is to prosper and be in good health in our body, mind, soul and spirit. As when you grow in your spiritual prosperity, it will change not only you, but all those around you. When your soul prospers, there is a spiritual contentment, knowing you are doing what pleases God. I encourage you today to walk in that ‘soul prosperity’ on a daily basis. Prayer strengthens and makes you whole. Enter in to PrayHeavenly Father I come to You in Jesus Christ’s Holy Name. I come in humility, in fear and trembling acknowledging my sins against You and others. I truly repent with Godly sorrow that I have hurt You through my ways. I ask You to forgive me of my sins against You and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Lord let not Your Holy Spirit depart from me. Help me Lord to go in Your paths of Righteousness, not seeking my own. |
IntercessionPrayer is the expression of man’s dependence upon God and his confidence in Him. When God answers prayer, He magnifies His faithfulness. Prayer is releasing the energies of God and asking God to do what we cannot do. Prayer is the breathing and panting of the Spirit after God. Prayer is a soul struggle.
