4/23/2013 1 Comment "Body, Soul and Spirit ProsperityIt is Intercession Tuesday in The Sanctuary. We are in the week of one of the biggest events this year for The Sanctuary and that is our Women's "Making WAVES" Retreat! This retreat is for women that are seeking healing, encouragement, clarity and refuge for their spirit, body and souls. We are coming away from everything for 3 days and 2 nights to rest under the wing of the most high. We are getting away from busyness of life to feed and take care of our spiritual and physical selves. I know all to well that in this life we get bogged down in the stress and survival of life that we do not feed or take care of spiritual (wo)man, physical (wo)man and soul (wo)man. If we are to be victorious in this life these areas must be fed, whole full balanced meals. The Bible says in 3 John 2:1 says: “Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your souls prospers. Prosperity is tied into our body, mind and soul. God's will is that you prosper in all things. His plan is for you to be prosperous in all areas of your life. Prosperity is not just money. True prosperity is actually "shalom" – nothing broken and everything whole and complete in your life. It is peace. Prosperity and health is connected to the prosperity of our soul. How does your soul prosper? Keep it healthy by keeping its focus in the Word of God and by spending time in prayer. Today in The Sanctuary we are praying that God reveal and inspire His people how to achieve what the scriptures says and that is to prosper and be in good health in our body, mind, soul and spirit. As when you grow in your spiritual prosperity, it will change not only you, but all those around you. When your soul prospers, there is a spiritual contentment, knowing you are doing what pleases God. I encourage you today to walk in that ‘soul prosperity’ on a daily basis. Allow me to pray with you, send your request via Facebook, through our website Connect Form,www.thesanctuaryministries.org me or call/text 678.883.2885. Your request is confidential and secure. Prayer strengthens and encourages your soul. Intercession Prayer Heavenly Father I come to You in Jesus Christ’s Holy Name. I come in humility, in fear and trembling acknowledging my sins against You and others. I truly repent with Godly sorrow that I have hurt You through my ways. I choose to forgive those who I perceive have hurt or harmed me, others, my friends or loved ones. I ask You to forgive them and bless them the way You desire to forgive and bless them. I ask You to forgive me of my sins against You and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Lord let not Your Holy Spirit depart from me. Help me Lord to go in Your paths of Righteousness, not seeking my own.

4/16/2013 0 Comments Fear is a liar!"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." ~2 Timothy 1:7 From this verse, the word of God is saying that God has not given us a spirit of fear. If God has not given us a spirit of fear, then someone has. Who is that person who gives us fear? That is the enemy of God, and we call him Satan. Fear is against faith and it is a liar. The fear that comes from the enemy is tormenting. Looking around us, it seems that Satan has succeeded to stop many from moving forward by means of this one evil power alone. The word of God says, "Love casts out fear" (1 John 4:18). If you love God, and if you belong to God, then you do not have to worry about anything. People are afraid or worried about so many things. Fear stops people not only in the areas of witnessing and using spiritual gifts. The fear of rejection has hindered people from beginning wonderful relationships. The fear of failure has held many back from beginning wonderful enterprises. The fear of death paralyzes and torments many. There are many other kinds of fear. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but unfortunately, many Christians have received a spirit of fear at some time in their life. They received what the devil was handing out to them. Many times, they received it before they became Christians, and they have not known God well enough to get rid of it since that time. One thing is clear, no Christian received a spirit of fear from God. The more of the divine love of God that we receive into our lives, the less scope there is for fear to get a grip. The word of God says, "Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you" (Psalm 55:22). God supplies our needs for today. Why should we worry for tomorrow? Why are we allowing fear to oppress us. This can and must be reversed. Today we are praying based on the authority and power in the Name of Jesus, the Blood of Jesus, the Word of God, and the Power of the Holy Spirit to reverse, overcome and drive out the powers of darkness and lies of fear! You see unhealthy fear is a stronghold and this is not flesh and blood, but a principality, a power of darkness. The Apostle Paul spoke about this in Ephesians 6:12, he stated that we wrestle against spirits of darkness and spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. This does not mean to say that Christians have no enemies among men that opposed them for they were exposed often to fiery persecution; nor that they had nothing to contend with in carnal and corrupt propensities of their nature which was true of them then as it is now; but that their main controversy was with the invisible spirits of wickedness that sought to destroy them. And fear seeks to destroy us. We must always remember that we are to put on our armor of God (God’s Word) and to pray fervently as we go forth into this wicked world but also know that our God is far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. We have authority over all the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms which is given to us by Jesus dying on the cross. For He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and evil. Therefore as we enter into Intercession, let's pray to possess authority, deliverance and victory from the lies of fear. Intercession Prayer Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, I come to You in gladness and with thanksgiving. I know that You are God! It is written in Your Word that Jesus came to seek and save the lost. I know Lord that You wish all people to be saved and to know Your divine truth. Heavenly Father, in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth I command you devil and all evil spirits in the sound of my voice to loose me and leave my presence. By the Blood of the Lamb and the Word of my testimony I overcome you devil and evil spirits, in the Name of Jesus Christ Who died on the cross for my sins and the sins of this world. I am a Blood bought child of God and satan, you are trespassing, you have no right to come near me, my mind, my home, my land, or property, including the atmosphere about me. I plead the Blood of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth as a thick hedge of protection against all evil spirits , as a wedge between us that you cannot penetrate. I speak the Blood against you satan, in Jesus Christ’s Holy Name. It is written in God’s Word that no weapon formed against me can prosper, I stand on the Word of God, He is my Shield and my Buckler according to Psalms 35:2. He says in Deuteronomy 33:27 that He thrusts out the enemy and says to me “destroy” them! Lord Jesus Christ I ask You according to John 14:13-14, to “destroy the enemy”. Fear, you are a defeated foe! You have been defeated and by the authority and power given to me in Luke 10:18-20, I command you to leave, I loose you to the Abyss, the dry waste place, in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Lord Jesus Christ I ask according to John 14:13-14 to destroy all the dark destruction that came with the enemy, cleanse me in Your precious Blood, heal me, restore me, and seal me up in Your Glory. I ask You to shut all demonic doors that need to be shut and seal them so the evil spirits can never come through them again. Lord Jesus, I ask You to loose Your angels over me and my family and loved one. I ask you to protect me, my property and land from the enemy from ever coming back here. 4/9/2013 0 Comments Purpose in Betrayal![]() It is bad enough when a stranger or enemy betrays you, but when it is someone you believed to be a close and trusted friend, partner, or spouse, it is especially hurtful. It might feel like you were taken advantage of, deceived, humiliated, despised, cheated, or stabbed in the back. Oftentimes it comes as a surprise. That is why it is so painful. You would not expect to be hurt so badly from someone you thought you could trust. So you are left in disbelief and unbelievable pain. In Psalm 55 King David deals with what can be one of the more painful experiences that people endure in life. David is dealing with the betrayal of a close friend. But David has not been betrayed by just any close friend, but by someone “with whom I once enjoyed sweet fellowship as we walked with the throng at the house of God” (Psalm 55:14). It is an extremely emotionally painful experience to have someone with whom you put your trust break that trust and turn against you. It is even more painful when it is one of our brothers or sisters in Christ who breaks this trust. David has been betrayed by another child of God, with whom he had shared worshipping the Lord. Just as David, anyone who has experienced betrayal in a relationship knows how difficult it is to recover from such an experience. The person you thought you could trust and count on is no longer the person you believed them to be. So you wonder what happened. Were you just wrong about them all along or did something change? Maybe your relationship changed and so did their loyalty to you. Maybe something in either or both of your lives has changed and they became insensitive to you. Or, maybe you both grew apart and in different directions. There are many reasons that cause people to betray one another. Sometimes they are very deliberate and intended to hurt the other person. And sometimes they are consequences of choices that are made with no intention of doing any harm to anyone. Looking out for one’s own best interests can cause some people to disregard relationships they once valued. They may feel the relationship is in the way or not as important anymore. Feelings change. And as feelings change so do one’s actions and choices. An individual that feels their needs are not being met in a relationship might feel that the relationship is no longer important or worth investing in. Therefore, they might seek to get their needs met elsewhere. This changes the relationship. Eventually, it grows apart and opportunities for betrayal emerge. When you're hurt by someone you love and trust, you might become angry, sad or confused. If you dwell on hurtful events or situations, grudges filled with resentment, vengeance and hostility can take root. If you allow negative feelings to crowd out positive feelings, you might find yourself swallowed up by your own bitterness or sense of injustice. Betrayal is a destructive force that leaves many ruins in its path. Betrayal changes everything. Relationships and all those affected will never be the same again. The damage done can be irreparable. Trust is lost. Wounds run deep. Anger persists. Hearts are broken. Self-protective walls are erected. Pain is long and lasting. And we wonder…. Can trust ever be restored? Do wounds ever heal? Will anger cease to exist? Can hearts be repaired? Will the self-protective walls ever come down? Does the pain ever go away? Not only does betrayal change relationships, it changes individuals. Something happens inside of you. You might find it difficult to ever trust again. You might be more guarded and protective for fear of being vulnerable again. You might learn to be more discerning and less naïve. Your expectations of others may change. The pain of betrayal is very real and has a significant impact on the lives of all those who have experienced it. It is one of those painful life experiences that have the power to change people’s hearts and lives forever. In one season of my life it seemed everyone I loved and cared for was doing something or saying something to cut me deep in my heart. I remember how the betrayals wounded me deeply and I would get down on our knees and began to tell God all the pain I felt. It felt like my life was caving in on me. In one of those moments of supernatural impartation God gave me one of the greatest spiritual survival gifts I had ever received. He gave me the gift of praise and blessing in the face of betrayal. I would begin to praise God for who He is, thank Him for this opportunity to trust Him in our helplessness. I thanked Jesus for this hurtful moment because it was taking me deeper into my dependence on Him. Then I begin to bless my betrayers. Over the next few months it became more real to me that the relationships had changed and every time I thought of my betrayers I made the choice to bless instead of curse. God has allowed me the opportunity to look some of them in the eye and show them love and kindness. And this is when the true healing began and I have moved into a greater place in God. He cleansed and released me from relationships that were not meant for the next season of my life. But most of all I learned how to truly do as my father said to me, "Depend on no one but Jesus". Another important life lesson learned is, how we choose to respond to the pain of betrayal will determine the direction our lives and ministries will take. Betrayal can be a beginning or it can be an end. There are many gifted and called people who have been betrayed, but are now lying in the enemy's gutter of bitterness and it is breaking the Father's heart. God is calling both the betrayers and the betrayed out of the dark places where the pain and sorrow of betrayal has led them. He is calling people out with His voice of hope and restoration. If you have suffered through a place of betrayal, now is the time to begin to follow His voice. In the end, you will experience the same resurrection power and new life that followed the Lord in His betrayal. Remember: Embedded somewhere, in each act of betrayal, is the purpose of God waiting to be discovered. Jesus was betrayed by a close friend, Judas and his betrayal led Jesus to His purpose of the Cross. So, He knows our pain and wants us to cast our burden on him. Today let's enter in Intercession in The Sanctuary and pray that God heals our hearts so that we don't have to pay the price repeatedly by bringing anger and bitterness into every relationship and new experience and that His purpose is revealed through our pain of betrayal. 4/2/2013 1 Comment Where God Guides…He Provides![]() We officially ended our Season of Lent: Breaking the Chains on Saturday, March 29, 2013. Our commitment was focused on breaking the chains over our lives that were hindering us from walking in the abundant and fullness life that God promised us in His word. Many of us can attribute that the hinderances and barriers we face in life are due to finances. With nearly 8% of Americans out of work, these are rough days, and many families are struggling. Even those of us with steady jobs have found our buying power greatly diminished. Someone of us have not had a wage adjustment since 2001, meaning that our real income has actually declined around 50%. Time Magazine ran a cover story on unemployment and underemployment in America. They predict that even as the current recession eases, chronic job loss will continue for months and even years. So, it’s not a stretch to say that every person is somehow affected by the current economic malaise, either directly or through someone close. What do we do? One answer: we can pray, we can say words to God. God does care about our provision. “The God who provides” is actually one of the Old Testament names for God. Giving is his nature. He has created us, and promises to supply all of our needs. In Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount he promises that God, our Father knows our practical need for food and shelter and security even before we ask. And when we do He willingly answers. God is close to us at our point of most pressing need. We never have to worry! It’s a real and tangible concern for almost all of us. So let’s put these promises to work. Today in our Intercession we will be praying a Word of Provision Prayer . Intercession PrayerHeavenly Father, I come to You now in the Name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Holy Spirit I ask You to quicken me and lead me in prayer. Lord Jesus, I believe that on the cross You took upon Yourself every curse that could and would ever come against me. Therefore, I ask You to bless me when I come in. I ask You to bless me when I go out. I ask You to bless me in the city. I ask You to bless me in the country. I ask You to bless my fruits. I ask You to bless my seed. I ask You to bless our land. I ask You to bless my store house. I ask You to bless and prosper everything I touch. I ask You to cause my enemies to come in one direction but to flee in seven directions because greater are You who is in me than he that is in the world. |
IntercessionPrayer is the expression of man’s dependence upon God and his confidence in Him. When God answers prayer, He magnifies His faithfulness. Prayer is releasing the energies of God and asking God to do what we cannot do. Prayer is the breathing and panting of the Spirit after God. Prayer is a soul struggle. It is the hardest work God has given His children, but it is their most important work. If you have a Archives
