4/28/2015 0 Comments Stir The Extraordinary Gift![]() Do you want to live an extraordinary life? Do you desire to have more boldness to take those leaps of faith to live in your divine destiny? Are you longing to have more joy and peace in your life? Do you seek more fulfillment? Do you want more of God’s power? I once answered yes to all of these questions. But once I came to grips with what was truly important and began to fan the flame of gifts that were burning inside of me, I became a pit bull terrier for my passion. I achieved this by drawing closer to God. I read and meditated on His Word more as I desired more knowledge. But most importantly, I prayed intently without ceasing and I removed those from around me that was abusing my gift for their own selfish desires. And I discovered the power to dream and act on God's vision for my life. So how is the fulfillment of vision meant to work in practical terms? What you were designed to be known for is your gift. God has put a gift or talent in every person. It is this gift that will enable you to fulfill your vision. It will make a way for you in life. It is in exercising this gift that you will find real fulfillment, passion, purpose, and contentment in your work. God gives us gifts and talents that will be a blessing to His body and the lost. He is no respecter of persons and He will open the doors for your gifts and your life ministry. But some of us have allowed our gift flame to die and go out or to become deferred. So many of us let the hardships of life, the abuse of our gifts, deferred manifestation to hinder us from walking in our gifts. Our Father, does not desire for us to let the gift of the Holy Spirit to lie dormant in our lives. 1 Timothy 4: 11 tells us, “Neglect not the gift that is IN you which was given you…" 2 Timothy 1:6-7 tells us this same truth slightly different, "This is why I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you. For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline..” Every one of us who has received the Holy Spirit has within us great possibilities and unlimited ability. God has given to each one of us spiritual gifts to benefit His body and to glorify Himself. If we never activate and use these gifts they will be buried and lost in the grave eternally. A fire that is neglected will soon die out. God may have gifted you to teach. Not doing it (even in the smallest capacity) means your gift remains dormant. God may have given you the gift of Leadership, Giving, Faith, Administration, Wisdom, Healing, Helps, Encouragement just to name a few. What are your gifts? And are you putting all of them to use? Or have they settled at the bottom of your heart–lying dormant. Have you allowed fear to cripple you to complacency? I have discovered so much about my God given abilities and gifts once I surrendered this earthen vessel back to Him. Believe me I have been stretched and challenged but I have discovered so many facets to my giftings that I would have never known if I had allowed my gifts to remain doorman and I astounded at the fulfillment that I feel. Don’t let your gifts lay dormant! Enter into prayer to stir up your extraordinary gifts…it's in you! Enter into PrayerHeavenly Father I come to You now in Jesus Christ’s Holy Name and by the power of your Spirit. I apply the Blood of Jesus Christ over me and I ask You Lord Jesus Christ to multiply in me and impart every blessing, anointing, gifts, and impartations that You have for me. I know Father that every gift you freely bestow upon me and it is to be used for your glory. Heavenly Father, I ask You to stir the gifts in me and increase Your anointing without measure so that I can do Your Work and do Your Will in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ,

4/21/2015 0 Comments The Promise of Better![]() Have you ever read a promise in the Bible and wondered how it could ever come to pass in your life? You don't really believe God will do those kinds of things for us? Well, I do because THE BLESSING of Deuteronomy 28 is our blessing! It has “come upon us” through Jesus. All we have to do is connect with it like Abraham did, it will do for us what it’s always done. If we’ll fill our anointed minds with it by meditating on those verses and speaking them over ourselves until we are fully persuaded, no matter how impossible our circumstances might appear to be, that blessing belongs to us. It will do for us the same thing it once did for Adam, Eve…and Abraham…and Jesus. It will empower us to be fruitful, multiply and have dominion in every area of life. Some folks think that’s too good to be true. They claim we can never enjoy that kind of blessing on this earth. But I know we can, not only because the Bible says so but because He has proven it in my own life again and again. I will continually believe these promises despite what I face or am challenged with: "Your towns and your fields will be blessed. Your children and your crops will be blessed. The offspring of your herds and flocks will be blessed. Your fruit baskets and breadboards will be blessed. Wherever you go and whatever you do, you will be blessed. The Lord will conquer your enemies when they attack you. They will attack you from one direction, but they will scatter from you in seven! The Lord will guarantee a blessing on everything you do and will fill your storehouses with grain. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you. “If you obey the commands of the Lord your God and walk in his ways, the Lord will establish you as his holy people as he swore he would do. Then all the nations of the world will see that you are a people claimed by the Lord, and they will stand in awe of you. “The Lord will give you prosperity in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you, blessing you with many children, numerous livestock, and abundant crops. The Lord will send rain at the proper time from his rich treasury in the heavens and will bless all the work you do. You will lend to many nations, but you will never need to borrow from them." (Deuteronomy 28:3-12) And these promises are mine and yours if we just do the following: "If you listen to these commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today, and if you carefully obey them, the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always be on top and never at the bottom. You must not turn away from any of the commands I am giving you today, nor follow after other gods and worship them." (Deuteronomy 28:13-14) It's that simple. Obedience + Faith = The Promise of Better! Enter into Prayer to Pray His Best Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus, my Lord, my Savior. I come to You with a heart of thanksgiving. I thank you for all the good things in my life, for You are the Creator of all things good. Father, I thank You for Your Presence. For in Your Presence is the fullness of my joy and in Your Presence I am complete and whole. In Your Presence I have purpose. Because of Your Presence, I am glad to be here. Father, I thank You for Your plan, that I might have a full life and enjoy it and have it in abundance to overflowing. Father, I thank You for Your provision, that all my needs are met according to Your riches in glory and that I may prosper in all areas of my life as my soul prospers. Father, I thank You for Your protection, that Your perfect love casteth out all fear and that no weapon formed against me shall prosper. Father, I thank You for Your peace. The peace that passes all understanding. The peace that keeps me calm and secure through adversity. The peace that leads me through all the storms that come into my life. Father, thank You for my life and Your Presence in it. 4/16/2015 0 Comments Beyond the Brokenness![]() Why would anyone choose to be broken? Why would you check into a hospital and allow the surgeon to start cutting? Because you know that surgery is one of the ways you can experience healing and to be physically restored. What makes a woman willing to endure long hours of intense labor? She knows that beyond the labor there will be the joy of a new life. So why would anyone choose brokenness? Because in our brokenness our Father brings completeness. Brokenness is God’s requirement for maximum usefulness. The Father uses adversity to break our self-will and transform us into useful vessels for His kingdom. Usually when people think about facing hardship, they focus on the suffering and pain involved. But what exactly is brokenness? What is its purpose? And is there any way to avoid it and still be useful to God? Brokenness is the Lord’s method of dealing with our self-reliance—that desire within us to act independently from Him. God wants us to bring every area of our lives into submission to His will, and He uses our trials to lead us to a point of total surrender. In brokenness, God desires to break our self-will so that we can be fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. This means that brokenness is not chastisement or punishment. When the Father chastens someone, He addresses a present, immediate sin. For the believer, brokenness isn’t a penalty, but an act of mercy intended to draw one closer to the Father. Brokenness is about the future. The Father deals with our attitude for the purpose of conforming us to His will and making us effective ministers to others (Eph. 2:8-10). And this is achieved through adversity, God targets the areas of self-will in our lives. He wants to break the attitudes that do not honor Him—such as self-righteousness, self-reliance, and self-centeredness, pride, ignorance, fear, worldly entanglements, unhealthy relationships, rebelliousness, and strongholds of the enemy. Moses was broken in the desert. He spent 40 years learning to obey the Lord, before God used him to free Israel from Egyptian bondage. Christ came and He was broken to bring us the blessing of grace, mercy and power. The apostle Paul’s “thorn in the flesh” kept him from exalting himself, despite his impressive credentials. I was broken into many pieces from the lost of relationships, jobs, personal possessions and my health. And through the brokenness I found my divine purpose, destiny and fulfillment. We are only as useful to God as we are obedient to Him. Whether He allows difficulties to arise in our family, finances, or health, He does so out of love. When we resist brokenness, we hinder our relationship with the Lord. We delay the fulfillment of God’s will in our lives. We hurt those who are closest to us and we limit what the Father can do through our gifts and talents. We are “put on the shelf”—unused by the Lord and prevented from experiencing His blessings and future rewards. His ultimate purpose is that we become spiritually mature and effective for His kingdom. What does God keep targeting in your life? Is it your self-reliance? If so, submit to the process of brokenness, and allow Him to control every area of your life. Let Him determine what remains and what must go. Yes, there is suffering in surrendering to the Lord, which may include physical, emotional, spiritual, and even relational pain. But the blessings on the other side of brokenness are certainly worth it! Enter into PrayerDear Jesus, to compare my season of stress with You, Moses and the apostle Paul’s, there is simply no comparison. When I consider everything You and servants experienced, I have nothing to complain about. Nonetheless, Paul’s honesty and vulnerability are what I wish to imitate. ![]() Decisions, decisions, decisions! We are faced with lots of decisions every day: what time are we going to get up? Are we going to get up? What are we going to wear? What are we going to have for breakfast? Are we going to turn on the television, or the radio? What are we going to listen to on our way to school, to work, or as we get it in gear and start to work at home? Decisions are an important part of our life. You know we make literally hundreds of decisions every day. Some over the mundane things in life and some over the important things in life, but making good and wise decisions is so important. Ever made a poor decision and dealt with the struggles and strife of that poor decision? The decisions we make chart the course of our life and the lives of others, so making wise decisions determines the direction life takes. You know, some of the decisions in life are quite easy to make. Take your cell phone wherever you go. Pay your taxes? Do your best at school or work? Mow your grass when it gets long? Don’t shave on Saturdays? Some decisions are easy to make? But some decisions aren’t so easy and take lots of effort to make. Who should I marry and spend the rest of my life with? What career should I train for? Where do I send my kids to school? Does God want me to go into the ministry? These are the kinds of decisions that keep us up at night weighing all the options. Many are in a place of indecision. It is not a low place between two hills. It is an undecided condition of the mind and heart. It is the obstacles and doubts with which the inward person is confronted. The place of indecision is the dwelling place of the undecided. An unpleasant condition of life, an unpredictable state of existence, an uncertain future. It is amazing that a person would live in such a condition. Let those who are tired of such uncertain living arise and declare "enough!" Make up your mind and move out of that place of uncertainty today. Yes, some of you right now are facing difficult decisions but are finding yourself stuck in indecision. The rest of you will find yourself having to make difficult decisions in the future. It’s just a part of life. The good news is that there’s help for this integral part of life. God is here and His wisdom is in your reach to enable you to decisions that will guide your life to be the best that God has for you. We want and we need to make wise decisions. And wise decisions are born out of our devotion to God, formed by the Word of God, and confirmed by the Spirit of God and communicated through prayer. Enter into Prayer Heavenly Father, the Word of God is very clear on asking for Wisdom, true wisdom comes from God. Jesus declared in His Word, if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. So we come boldly to the throne of grace through the precious Blood of Jesus Christ and ask for wisdom, and we lean on Your promise to us is that our Heavenly Father will give it to me! |
IntercessionPrayer is the expression of man’s dependence upon God and his confidence in Him. When God answers prayer, He magnifies His faithfulness. Prayer is releasing the energies of God and asking God to do what we cannot do. Prayer is the breathing and panting of the Spirit after God. Prayer is a soul struggle.
