God Provides…Trust That!

Picture
There was nothing I could not ask my earthly Father for that he would not go through hell and earth to provide for me. I knew early on in life that he committed to being a provider of my spiritual and physical needs and whatever I asked I could trust that he would move heaven and earth to provide it. And this is the same kind of trust we should have in Jesus Christ as our personal Savior. When we accepted Him into our hearts we become a child of God. One who is both born and adopted into the family of God. As such, we become the recipients of God’s personal care as a loving heavenly Father. As children of God, all believers become the personal responsibility of an all wise, sovereign, and all powerful God, who, as a heavenly Father, cares in an infinite way for each one of His children. Since God is concerned for each of us as His redeemed children, the Apostle Paul assures us this concern certainly extends to our basic daily needs (but not our greed). The Apostle wrote, “And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (Philippians. 4:19). This promise was made in connection with the financial support the Philippians had sent to Paul for his missionary ministry. He was assuring them that their giving would never be their lack. God would supply their needs, and the reason for His supply, was nothing less than “His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

Governing God’s provision is nothing short of the wealth of what God has done for us in Christ. And as members of God’s family, all believers have direct access to God as their heavenly Father through their Great High Priest, the Lord Jesus Christ. While God knows our needs before we ask, and is intimately concerned, we are, nevertheless, to take our needs and those of others to God’s throne of grace in prayer. Prayer is where we confess sin, give thanks and praise to God, and make our needs known to our Heavenly Father in specific requests. But our greatest need is to be conformed into the image of God’s Son, the Lord Jesus. The Lord promises that God, as a father kind of God, will not give us a stone if we ask for bread, nor a snake if we ask for a fish. In His perfect love and wisdom, He only knows how to give what is best to us.  Today on this Intercession Tuesday, let's enter His throne to pray to our Jehovah Jireh, who is the Lord that provides.

INTERCESSORY PRAYER

Father, I come to You now in the Name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Heavenly Father, I pray with thanksgiving! I ask You to give me divine healing now in every area of my life, spirit, mind, will, emotions and physical being in accordance with Your Divine Plan and Order for my life. I receive Your Divine Healing, Wholeness and Newness of life, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Lord, I ask You to expand in me Your territories. Lord I ask for and receive beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness: for I am a tree of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that You may be glorified, in Jesus’ Name. My prayer Lord, is that your Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Heavenly Father, I ask you to give me the manifestation of every miracle and every healing You have for me and the manifestation of divine healing and divine health in my body.  I will commit to earnestly remember You the Lord my God, for it is You who gives me the power to get wealth, that I may establish Your covenant which You swore to my forefathers. (Duet. 8:18) Your word says that a good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children and the wealth of the sinner finds its way into the hands of the righteous for whom it was laid up. (Prov. 13:22). I know that wealth and provision is in my hand and I know that you are my God and you will liberally supply (fill to the fullest) my every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Phil. 4:19).  For You said that you would prosper me and that I would be in good health even as my souls prosper. (3 John 2) For You Lord God are a sun and shield; and you bestow present grace and favor and future glory, honor, splendor and heavenly bliss! No good thing will you withhold from me if I walk uprightly according to Psalm 84:11 and I commit to being obedient and walking upright to your Word.

Heavenly Father, I come to You now in the Name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Lord Jesus, I ask You, to cover me with Your anointing, glory, and tangible Presence. Give me a fresh new release and flow in my inner man with rivers of living waters springing forth abundantly with life abundant, fill me to over-flowing with Your favor, compassion and love, Your wisdom and understanding. Anoint me to hear Your Voice not that of a stranger (John 10:4-5.) Give me Your eyes to see spiritually, and a heart to understand and be led by Your Holy Spirit. Help me to be bold, confident and be obedient, to do Your will. Fill me with Your gifts, and Your blessings. Lord Jesus, I ask You to pour out Your Anointing and Provision on me and my house and future generations and I receive Your Anointing, Favor, Provision in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I cry out to you God the Most High, I know that you perform works on my behalf and you will reward me, and you will bring to pass Your purposes for me and surely complete them. (Psalm 57:2) I know Dear Lord that You will perfect that which concerns me. (Psalm 138:8) Everything that I need is found in You and I believe in  Luke 6:3-8, that say that You God make all grace abound toward ME in every favor and earthly blessing, so that I have all sufficiency for all things and that I will abound to every good work. Lord Jesus, I ask You, to let Your love and works abound so brightly shine through me into others as an act of worship to You so that your Name receives all the glory in Jesus’ Name, Amen!

Lord, I Need Your Help

Picture
When I woke Monday morning these were my exact words, "Lord, I need your help". Life is a little overwhelming in the Douthit house. We have a tremendous amount of goings on and Monday was the culmination of my fustration with life and instead of just crying, I found myself crying out to God for help.

Are you at that point of being beyond fustrated? Are there hurts and burdens that have you weighed down? Have you been trying to fix a situation with no real solution? Weary, tired and need some help today? Psalm 18:6 says,  “In my distress I called to the LORD; I cried to my God for help....” King David was much better at this than I am. He had a habit of crying out to  God for help when he was in distress. Barnes’ Notes on the Bible Commentary  tells us that in Psalm 18:6, “‘In my distress’ refers, most probably,  not to any particular case, but rather indicates, David's, general habit of mind, that when he was in deep distress and danger he had uniformly called upon  the Lord, and had found him ready to help.”

God is real, and when you trust in Him as David did, He promises to be with you and help you. Psalm 46:1, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help  in trouble.”  Let Him share your burdens and reveal His purpose for you. Turn to Him today. Prayer and praise acknowledges that Jesus Christ is your Lord, Savior and Provider.  Many of us live a life full of prideful self reliance and stubbornness and never receive anything from the Lord.  When you call out  and  come to the Lord Jesus Christ with a need, you are glorifying Him and lifting up  His name to all the earth.  He will pour out His power, peace, love  upon you and  answer your needs! Enter into Intercession to recieve your help.

INTECESSORY PRAYER

Heavenly Father, I ask You to lead me in paths of righteousness for Your Name’s Sake. I Bless You, Praise You, Worship You, and commit all that I am to You, and that Your perfect Will be done through me. I ask that You cause me to enter into Your Rest now, in Jesus’ Name and that I receive rest. I ask You to release my warring and ministering angels to minister and to war on my behalf. I ask you to fill this, Your temple; with Your Holy Spirit. Help me to bear the cross You have prepared for me and help those in my family. I ask that the Holy Spirit speak to my heart through Your Word. I come to You with reverence and worship, and with humility through Your Holy Spirit. I ask that when I read Your Word that it would be engrafted into me and become part of me; spirit, mind, will and emotions. I declare by Your power; You are helping and causing me to be bold, dauntless, fearless, confident, steadfast, faithful, true and loyal for Your Name’s Sake.

I release all things into Your hands and commit myself unto You, trusting You.  Lord forgive me and help me to follow Your direction. I ask You that my mind and thoughts will be clear toward You, and that they will be clear of all emotional clutter. I ask that You cause me to hear You louder and more clearly, and to find rest in You. I ask that Your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, with long-suffering, and self control be developed in my life. I ask You to fashion my heart like Yours, that Your fruit will abound in and through me to others. I ask You Lord for a healthy mind and body in You. I ask that Your perfect Will may be worked out in my life and the lives of those that my life touches, as You direct me. I ask You for eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart to  comprehend and receive what the Holy Spirit has to say.  I ask to speak and to do Your perfect Will in this life; for You, for me, and for my family.

I ask You to guard me and my family with many angels and that they manifest as needed. I ask You to make me alert, sharp and attentive to Your thoughts and ways.  I ask that I may prosper in what I put my hands to do for You. I ask You to renew my youth like the eagles.  I ask for a heart like Yours and that I may grow and mature that I may walk in Your ways. Heavenly Father, I declare Your faithfulness to the heavens and Your loving kindness and tender mercies anew every morning. In Jesus Name I Pray. Amen

Hearing the Voice of God

Picture
Many Christian believers do not believe that they can or do hear God’s Voice.  Jesus says in John 10 verse 14, that He is the Good Shepherd and that He knows His sheep and His sheep know Him. In John 10:27 Jesus said, My sheep hear My Voice and I know them and they follow Me. If you are one of the Lord Jesus’ sheep, you should know His voice. He is not a respecter of persons. According to Isaiah 58:11 it says that He will lead and guide us through our lives.  Psalms 32:8 says that He will instruct us with a loving eye the way that we should go. However, I don't think the issue is if God is speaking  but it's with us who are not hearing.

Picture
The first thing we need to do is fix our ears. We need to believe that God is already speaking and start listening. However, that takes time, effort, and focus. The average Christian's lifestyle is so busy, it isn't conducive to hearing God's voice. For instance, what is your typical answer to the question, "How are you?" Many of you probably answer something about being very busy. All of us seem to be busier than ever, and that's one of the BIG reasons we don't hear the voice of the Lord better. We're just too busy.

Psalm 46:10 says,

"Be still, and know that I am God."

It's in stillness, not busyness, that we tune our spiritual ears to hear the voice of God. The Lord always speaks to us in that "still, small voice" (1 Kings 19:12), but often it's drowned out amid all the turmoil of our daily lives.

The other issue that prevents us from hearing God clearly is that there are other voices whispering into our ears as well. In fact, there are three voices that we can hear -- the voice of God, the voice of our own fleshly desires, and the voice of the Adversary. But Jesus tells us in John 10:4 and 5, "...and the sheep follow Him, for they know His voice. Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers." The writer of Hebrews tells us that we can train our ear to recognize the voice of God above all the noise. "But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil" (Hebrews 5:14). It is by practicing, using our spiritual ear, that we are able to discern whether what we hear is of God, our flesh, or the Adversary.

Picture
Today on this Intercession Tuesday make a decision to hear His Voice like some of His other sheep do. I believe that if you want to hear God’s Voice and if you pray the following prayer, He will honor your prayer and teach you to hear His Voice. I remember the first time I heard His Voice, it changed my life.

Intercessory Prayer

Heavenly Father, I come to You now in the Name of my Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. Holy Spirit I pray that You will quicken me to hear my Heavenly Father’s Voice and lead me in prayer. Heavenly Father, I bow and worship before You. I come to You with praise and with thanksgiving. I come to You in humility, in fear, and in trembling and seeking truth. I come to You in gratitude, in love, and through the precious Blood of Your Son Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Father, it is written in Your Word according to John chapter 10 that Your sheep know Your Voice. Heavenly Father, I am one of Your sheep. I  ask You Heavenly Father, to teach me to hear Your Voice distinctly and clearly according to John chapter 10. I ask You increase Your anointing on me to clearly hear and know Your Voice and not that of a stranger, I ask You to do this in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Give me  the ability Heavenly Father to hear Your Voice, I ask this according to John 16:23 in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

My Lord, it is written in Your Word in 1 John 4:1-2 that we should not believe every spirit but test the spirits to determine whether the spirits are of God. By this I will know the Spirit of God. I ask that you remove any deception Heavenly Father.  I come to You through the Precious Blood of my  Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I  ask You to destroy and remove any deception in my mind in Jesus Christ’s Holy Name I pray. Let me Hear your Voice clearly so that I may know your ways and will for my life. All these things I ask in Your mighty name I pray.

Amen!

He said it and I am affirming it

Picture
Picture
Affirming God’s Word over yourself and others is crucial because it speaks life into your spirit, body and soul. Affirmation Prayer is a way of entering into prayer. It takes the example of Our Lord at prayer drawn from the accounts in the Gospels. In John 17:8, Jesus says to his Father in prayer: "For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them."

In Affirmation Prayer we listen to these "words" and indeed to the One who "gave" them — for the Lord Jesus is himself the Word behind the words and is the Word within the words. The word "to affirm" means to strengthen, to endorse, to assert as true, to declare support for. It always expresses a relationship between the speaker and what is affirmed. Also, there is always a confidence and positiveness in the act of affirming.

In Affirmation Prayer we humbly seek to affirm God, but in the process we ourselves are also affirmed. We proclaim with confidence and joy our total belief in and love of God using His own inspired Scriptures. It is a demonstration of unlimited expressions of faith, trust, dependence and love. As we offer these to God, we are strengthened, empowered, built up in our most Holy Faith, and equipped to interface with an unbelieving world. In Affirmation Prayer we demonstrate an intense desire to listen to Jesus Christ the Word of God and to become wholly united with him: to abide in him.

On this Intercession, take to heart the forthcoming scriptures and you will understand the importance of speaking out loud all or some of the following scriptures over yourself every day. If you speak negative over yourself and others, you are speaking the words of the enemy and those words will hold you in bondage.

Faith comes more quickly when you hear yourself quoting, speaking, and saying the things God said. You will more readily receive God’s Word into your spirit by hearing yourself say it OUT LOUD everyday than if you hear someone else say it. Hearing yourself speak the Word of God out loud everyday for thirty days will change your life.

“So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God” ~ Romans 10:17.

Affirming Prayer

✤ I recognize in faith that God has proven His love to me in sending His Son to die in my place, whereby every provision has already been made for my past, present, and future needs through His representative work whereby I have been quickened, raised, seated with Christ in the heavenlies and anointed with the Holy Spirit according to Romans 5:6-11; 8:28-39.
✤ I recognize by faith that since I have received Christ as my Lord and Savior, I believe God’s Word that He has received me, adopted me into His family whereby He has assumed every responsibility for me. My body is a temple for the Holy Spirit, redeemed, cleansed, healed, delivered, and sanctified by the Blood of Jesus Christ.
✤ “No weapon formed against me shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against me in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me," Says the LORD.
✤ My body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in me. I am not my own; I was bought with a price.
✤ I desire to walk in the Spirit and not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
✤ I am saved from wrath by Him and justified by the Blood of the Lamb.
✤ The Lord Jesus Christ has given unto me power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt me.
✤ I cast down vain imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and I bring every thought captive to the obedience of the Lord Jesus Christ.
✤ I yield no ground to satan; I take back all that I have ever surrendered to him in the past and acknowledge that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Lord of all my life.
✤ I affirm now that all my children (grandchildren) shall be taught of the Lord and great shall be the peace of my children (grandchildren) according to Isaiah 54:13
✤ I thank You and praise You for the Salvation of my children (grandchildren) and pray that they will love the Lord God with all their hearts.
✤ According to Your Word in 2 Corinthians 5:21, my  children (grandchildren) are the righteousness of God in Him. And they are the head and not the tail as promised in Deuteronomy 28:13. He who began a good work in my children (grandchildren) will continue it until the days of Jesus Christ, as found in Philippians 1:6.
✤ In 2 Peter 1:3-4, Your divine power has given to my  children (grandchildren) all things that pertain to Life and Godliness…and they have been given exceedingly great and precious promises.
✤ The Lord blesses my children (grandchildren) and keeps them. He makes His face to shine upon my children and grandchildren and He is gracious unto them. He lifts up His countenance upon them and gives them peace, according to His Word in Numbers 6:23-26.
✤ I thank You, Heavenly Father, that my children (grandchildren) honor their father and mother according to Deuteronomy 5:16. And I do not provoke my  children (grandchildren) to wrath but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord as instructed in Ephesians 6:4.
✤ According to Philippians 2:3-4, I pray that nothing will be done by our children (grandchildren) through selfish ambition or conceit. I  praise God, the Father in Heaven; that He is able to make all grace abound to my children (grandchildren), that they will always have all sufficiency in all good things, and may have abundance for every good work according to His Word in 2 Corinthians 9:8.
✤ I declare God, the battle is already won. God is removing the enemy.
✤ I declare that my God will take care of the enemy that has come against what God has ordained for me and my family.
✤ I declare that we have won the Victory!
✤ I believe God has sent His Word and it will not return void.
✤ I declare that God has given me Divine healing and Divine Life.
✤ I expect God's Favor, Blessings, Mercy and Grace are on me today.
✤ I declare that God is going to give me supernatural increase.
✤ I believe God has given me His Abundant Life.
✤ I will live and not die, but declare the Works of the Lord
✤ God forgives all iniquities, and heals all my diseases - Proverbs 103-3
✤ By His stripes I am healed - Isaiah 53:5
✤ It is written in Psalms 41 Heavenly Father, that if we remember and bless the poor that you will keep us alive and that you will raise us up off of our sick bed and heal our diseases. - Psalm 41:3
✤ My body is healthy and strong and not plagued by human ills - Psalm 73:4-5
✤ You will heal my broken heart and bind up my wounds - Psalm 147:2
✤ Heavenly Father, it says in Your word in Malachi 3:11 that you will rebuke the devourer for my sake.
✤ I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done - Psalm 118:17
✤ In Christ I have life, and have it to the fullest - John 10-10
✤ It is written in Psalms 34:19 that the afflictions of the righteous are many, but You will deliver us from all of them - Psalms 34:19
✤ Lord Jesus, it is written in John 14:14 that if I ask My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth to do anything that He will do it, so I ask You Lord Jesus to heal my body, every organ, every cell, every gland, every muscle, every ligament and every bone in my body according to John 14:14.
✤ I release my faith and believe for my healing knowing that even a small amount of faith (as a mustard seed) can work miracles - Luke 17:6
✤ It is written in John 15:7-8 that if Your words abide in me Lord Jesus and I abide in You I shall ask what I shall and it shall be done for me, so that Your Father in Heaven will be glorified.
✤ Lord, because Your words do abide in me and I abide in You, You will heal my body of every disease, every infirmity, every inflammation, every affliction, every sickness of any kind so that I can bear much fruit and be Your disciple.
✤ Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ, He is the same yesterday, today, and forever and to God be the glory, Amen. John 15:17

    Intercession

Prayer is the expression of man’s dependence upon God and his confidence in Him. When God answers prayer, He magnifies His faithfulness. Prayer is releasing the energies of God and asking God to do what we cannot do. Prayer is the breathing and panting of the Spirit after God. Prayer is a soul struggle. It is the hardest work God has given His children, but it is their most important work.

    Each Tuesday in
The Sanctuary we set aside time for intercession. We pray that you are able to gain strength and comfort from our time of Intercession.
