Shut up! The Shepherd is speaking.

Picture
If you are like me, your mind is constantly analyzing, assessing, deciding, working every moment of every day. Sometimes its hard for me to sit down and shut up – to be silent – yet I know I must. Especially if I am to discern God’s will for me and this ministry.  It is with difficulty, I make every attempt at being silent and listening to God, especially every Tuesday afternoon and when I do I always seem to have a lot to say to God, and I fail at letting Him get a word in edgewise when I pray. I pour my heart out to Him in prayer, and I try to listen to my Father so that He can speak to my heart. But sometimes He doesn’t get much of a chance with me jabbering away.

I have learned that shutting my mouth and sitting in silence is a virtue. It is in this silence that we hear to integrate what we hear our Father is saying into our being. He speaks to us in several different ways. Perhaps it is through a passage from Scripture. Perhaps it is through the voice of a loved one. Perhaps He speaks directly to your heart in prayer, giving you His peace. Perhaps it is via a whisper as you sit silently. But do we hear?

God is speaking, the problem is that sometimes we're just not very good listeners. Although God speaks again and again, no one pays attention to what He says. He has been saying the same thing to us and showing us the same thing over and over again but we just aren't getting it. God is speaking to believers, young and old, and non-believers from all walks of life.  God is pouring out of His Spirit in prayer to believers for direction, correction, confirmation, peace, intercession, warning, prophesying to others and calls to ministry; to the non-believer to draw them to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches." (Revelation 3:22)

Are you ready to listen?

Many times we miss out on hearing God’s voice because we don’t know how He speaks. —but we know from scripture that His voice is that of a loving, kind and devoted Shepherd. Commit with me today to meditate to hear His voice. Sit down, shut up and take the time to listen because He desires that we hear His Voice not only today but always.

Enter into The Sanctuary to pray and meditate!

Heavenly Father,

I come to You now in the name of my Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. Holy Spirit I pray that You will quicken me to hear my Heavenly Father’s Voice and lead me in prayer. Heavenly Father, I bow and worship before You. I come to You with praise and thanksgiving.  I come to you in humility, in fear and in trembling and seeking truth. I come to you in gratitude and love as you are the Lord and Shepherd over my life. It is written in your word according to John chapter 10 that Your sheep know Your Voice. Dear Shepherd, I am one of your sheep. I ask You to teach me to her Your Voice distinctly and clearly according to John chapter 10. I ask you increase Your anointing on me to clearly hear and know Your Voice and not that of a stranger. Today, I repent for not listening to your Voice and turning a deaf ear.  No longer will I stray from your voice. Dear Shepherd I declare on this day that when you speak, I will listen. I surrender my heart and mind to your Voice. I ask that You do this in the name of Jesus Christ. Give me the ability my Good Shepherd to hear your Voice , I ask this according to your word that says that whatsoever I ask for in your name you will give it to me. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen!

Break The Curse!

Picture
Have you ever seen a family where the father has a problem with uncontrollable anger, his son seems to have been handed the same issue, and the grandfather had the same problem? Or have you noticed that not only do you suffer from something such as persistent irrational fears or depression, but your mother and her father also suffered from it as well? This is beyond learned behavior; many children learn to be messy if their parents are messy. This is a spiritual bondage that is passed down from one generation to another and is considered a generational curse.

Some symptoms of a generational curse is a continual negative pattern of something being handed down from generation to generation. Often people who are adopted end up with the same characteristics as their birth parents, not because they were around their birth parents to learn the behavior  but because they inherited their spiritual bondage. Some common symptoms of generational curses are family illnesses that seem to just go from one person down to the next , continual financial difficulties, mental problems, and depression. Anything that seems to be a persistent struggle or problem that was handed down from one generation to another may very well be a generational curse. There are other things that can seem like generational curses, but aren't. Perhaps the most common is if there is an ungodly soul tie formed between you and one of your ancestors, that can also allow for the transferring of spirits.

Generational curses are many times are triggered by an opened door in our life. It's important that we clear up any legal grounds or strongholds that we have given the enemy in your own life relating to the bondage. Unforgiveness is a great way to trigger generational spirits. Unforgiveness is a serious sin that blocks the forgiveness of your own sins (Matthew 6:15), which creates ample grounds for the enemy in our life. Unforgiveness in itself puts us into the enemy's hands (Matthew 18:23-35).

The good news is that once you accept Jesus, the transference of bondage stops from your ancestors by means of generational curses. You can no longer receive spiritual bondages in this manner from your parents once you accept Jesus! Christ came as a curse to free us from the curses that sin (both our sins and those of our forefathers) has brought us. Galatians 3:13 says, "But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.” Once you become a child of God, no longer will the sins of your forefathers cause curses to transfer into your life. So how you deal with a spirit that has entered through a generational curse is very simple, Mark 16:17 says that, "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils…" We know that our generational curses have been broken in Jesus' name, but we still need to verbally confess cast out and renounce these curses, because there's power in our verbal confessions and prayer, and it helps us to realize that we are set free, and also lets the enemy know that he's in trouble!

Pray to Break the Generational Curse.

Heavenly Father, I come to You now in the Name of my Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. Lord Jesus Christ, I believe that You are the Son of God; that You died on the cross for my sins; that God raised You from the dead and You ascended to heaven. Heavenly Father, I  repent of any sins in my life and my ancestors’ lives, going back 25 generations, that have resulted in a curse or curses on me, or on my family. I repent of all and any sins of: not keeping Your commandments: having other gods before You; making or buying images, bowing down to or serving images; for taking the Lord my God’s Name in vain; not honoring my father and/or mother; murder; adultery; stealing; bearing false witness; coveting a neighbor’s spouse, house, land, or anything that is my neighbor’s; not loving You with all my heart, with all my soul, and with all my mind; not loving my neighbor as myself, or not loving myself. I ask Your forgiveness and cleansing through the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Heavenly Father, I repent of all of my  sins and I thank You for forgiving me .

Father I now ask You in the Name of Your Son Jesus, to destroy all curses, generational curses that have been placed on me, my spouse, and my children, including ten generations. Lord Jesus, Your Word says that Your anointing breaks and destroys all yokes of bondage so I ask You now to cause Your anointing to break and destroy any yokes of bondages; along with all their works, roots, fruits, tentacles, seeds and links, in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. In the name of Jesus, and by the power of His blood, I now renounce, break and sever all curses that have been handed down to me from my ancestors. In the name of Jesus, I now loose myself and my future generations from any bondages passed down to me from my ancestors! I renounce and reject these things in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and I loose every wrong attitude, pattern of thinking, belief, idea, desire, behavior and habit I have ever learned. I loose the strongholds around them that would keep me from being completely surrendered to the will of God for my life. I loose all doubt and confusion from myself. I have bound my mind to the mind of Christ and I loose every wrong thought and evil imagination that will keep me from being in unity with You. I believe in Your miracle working power to restore and heal me. I bind and loose these things in the Name of Jesus Christ, who has given me the keys to do so. Amen!

Thank You Father

Picture
It is very important that we are thankful to the Lord for the many blessings that He bestows upon our life. Many times we are quick to forget the good things that God has given us and tend to think more about the trouble and heartache that life sometimes brings.

When we say, "Thanks" what do we mean by it? Well, it is an expression of appreciation, isn't it? Shouldn't we appreciate God? Shouldn't we tell Him so? Saying, "Thanks," is making known that person's value to you. You do not thank people who are not valuable to you. Saying "Thanks," is gratitude, told to another dear to you, usually. Why not God? Isn't He the dearest of all?

The Bible reminds us that ungodly people do not give thanks unto God. This is a characteristic of the ungodly. In Romans 1:21 we read, "Because that, when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened." And they went progressively down, until they worshipped idols, became fools, worshipped animals and beasts, and, God finally gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts. That is a tragic thing. Why? Because they did not honor God as God and they were not thankful. It is characteristic of the ungodly that they never say to God, "Thank You for all that You are to me, for giving me life and all the good things that are in life." Ungodly people do not glorify Him as God, neither are they thankful. But godly people do give thanks to God. They are thankful, according to God's Word.

It is the will of God in Christ Jesus is to give thanks to God in everything, every believer should know why we should give thanks and be grateful all the time. Gratitude is a feeling of thankfulness and appreciation of everything the Almighty God is doing in our daily life. It is an act that allows what we desire to flow into our experience. Make saying thank you to your higher power an integral part of your day – many find that the daily practice of counting your blessings pays dividends and brings great rewards.
Enter in to say "Thank You Father"
Dear Father God, I am thankful for this day; for this is the day that You have made. I will rejoice and be glad in it. I am thankful for the Blood of Jesus, knowing it cleanses us from all unrighteousness according to 1 John 1:9 and allows us to come boldly to the throne of grace according to Hebrews 4:16. I am thankful for the power in the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth to protect, cleanse, heal, deliver, sanctify, redeem, justify, and to make all things new.

Heavenly Father, I am thankful for so many things. I am thankful that Your Word is true and established in heaven according to Matthew 24:35; that Your mercy endures forever according to Psalms 118:1; that Your grace is sufficient for us according to 2 Corinthians 12:9. I am thankful for Your angels and for Your protection according to Psalms 91; for Your salvation. That our names are written in the lamb’s book of life according to Revelation 21:27; that everyone in our households are saved according to Acts 16:31. I am thankful for Your Holy Spirit. Thank You for Your peace which passes all understanding according to Philippians 4:7. Thank You for every battle and every problem we face, knowing that the battle is an opportunity to cause our revelation knowledge parts (pebbles) to become one solid rock that the gates of hell can’t prevail against us. Each and every battle is an opportunity for us to take root so we can bear fruit. We know that the trying of our faith turns into patience, causing us to form into perfect men and women, wanting nothing. Thank You that we can ask You for whatever we will and as long as we are connected to the vine, we have the petitions we ask for. Thank You for Your provisions as You supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory. Thank You for divine prosperity. Thank You for Your healing, past, present, and future as You are Jehovah Rophe. Thank You for divine health. Thank You for physical and spiritual hearing, seeing, feeling, smelling, and tasting. Thank You for the sun, moon, stars, trees, grass, air, water, plants, flowers, animals, mountains, valleys and all the other wonderful things You created for us yet we so often take for granted.

Thank You Heavenly Father for Your Holy Spirit. Thank You for being present with us always. Thank You for the gifts of the Spirit: The word of wisdom, word of knowledge, faith, gifts of healing, workings of miracles, prophesy, discerning of spirits. Thank You for the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control according to Galatians 5:22. Thank You for Your faithfulness. Thank You for being the Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace according to Isaiah 9:6; The Way, The Truth, The Life according to John 14:6; The Light according to John 8:12; The Door according to John 10:9; The Bread of Life according to John 6:35; The Good Shepherd according to John 10:11; The Redeemer according to Psalms 78:35; The King of Kings and the Lord of Lords according to Revelations 19:16. Heavenly Father, I praise and thank You for everything You have done, for everything You are doing, and for everything You are going to do. I bless You Lord. Amen.

    Intercession

Prayer is the expression of man’s dependence upon God and his confidence in Him. When God answers prayer, He magnifies His faithfulness. Prayer is releasing the energies of God and asking God to do what we cannot do. Prayer is the breathing and panting of the Spirit after God. Prayer is a soul struggle. It is the hardest work God has given His children, but it is their most important work.

    Each Tuesday in
The Sanctuary we set aside time for intercession. We pray that you are able to gain strength and comfort from our time of Intercession.
