Pray Blessings!

Picture
What does it mean to be blessed? Sometimes we may think of blessings in such general, vague terms that they lose part of their significance. Here is a selection of meanings for blessing:
  • A good thing that God does for us; to ask God to help us and do good in us; a blessing can be a prayer that God will bless someone.
  • The act of invoking divine protection or aid
  • To add value
  • A short prayer of thanksgiving before or after a meal; grace
  • Approval; good wishes her father gave his blessing to the marriage
  • The bestowal of a divine gift or favour
  • In the Jewish culture and especially in Israel it is common for people to speak blessings daily over each other and to greet each other with a blessing

It is clear that God has given us instruction to bless, Luke 6:28 (Jesus speaking),  "Bless those who curse you and pray for those who despitefully use you".

What most of us lack is the understanding of how to bless is probably lack of understanding the power and the importance of blessing.  We must realize You and I are Kingdom people privileged to release blessings over ourselves, loved ones, enemies,  situations,  institutions, territories. In a world where the negative is dominant everywhere, what kind of change could you effect if you became a serious dispenser of blessing? Positive overwhelms negative and light dispels darkness. Why would we hold back?

If you and I commit today to more seriously releasing blessings as part of our prayer life, as part of our Christian walk, we will take our places among those world changers who know this secret. Get started blessing today and pray with us. Let God’s creative power be released through His Word. God spoke creation into existence. Our universe is increasing as you read this. What God spoke in the beginning is still moving, creating, blessing. Isaiah 55:11 says, "So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it."  If you pray blessings today and don’t see results by evening, don’t believe that you prayed in vain. Sometimes we see immediate results, immediate watering of a life or situation but sometimes we don't. You just release scripture prayer. Pray the truth and blessings of God’s Word and you pray not only out of your own heart and intent, but out of the heart and intent of God. The power of Heaven is released in response to your prayer-blessings and the power of the blessing does not stop until its purpose is accomplished.

Intercessory Prayer

Heavenly Father, in Christ Jesus’ Holy Name; I thank You for Your Word in Numbers 6:23-26. Heavenly Father, I pray that You will bless me and that You will keep me . I pray that You will make Your Face shine upon me and be gracious to me. I pray that You will lift up Your countenance upon me and fill me with Your Peace. Lord Jesus, I  thank You for blessing me. Heavenly Father, I ask You to cleanse my mind with the Blood of the Lord Christ Jesus of all thoughts and preconceived ideas that do not conform to Your will and destiny for my life and the way You want me to believe and think. Lord Jesus, I ask You to prevent my mind from deceiving me in any way.

Dear Lord, I pray that Your blessings rest upon me this day. I decree and declare that I am pleasing to the Lord and He enjoys my fellowship. I am well-favored and more than able to receive His abundant provision. God's angels accompany me on my right hand and on my left. They shall guide me! God's goodness and mercy shall follow close behind means be the guardians between me and my past. God has determined that I shall have good success because I move in faith and in strong courage. My eyes shall see the salvation of the Lord. He shall keep me safely under His wings. I declare this day that I am protected and delivered from the evil of the day. I shall not stumble or fall for the Holy Spirit has anointed my eyes with eye salve to see clearly and has given me ears of the spirit to hear precisely. I will be wise in my generation. My soul will rest in God's shalom. You have declared I will be strong and pleasing in Your sight. I will eat the fruit of his promises in the land of the living and I will enjoy long life and length of days because I've wholly trusted in the Lord my God. My habitation shall be a place where I will rest in Your love, find hope, for tomorrow, and joy shall strengthen me as I rest upon my bed. You shall restore my soul and give me rest in the stillness and quietness of my home. In my prayer chamber the Holy Spirit shall birth a creative and powerful mind and give me sound ideas that will bring me promotion and great favor. You shall give me a fresh anointing and bless me with good results. The Lord is pleased with me and has placed His name upon my forehead. I will call upon Him and He will show me great and mighty things I will know not of in Jesus' Name!"

Amen!

I Ask That You Help Me Lord!

Picture
Can you be in God's will and be miserable?

Well, yes. But you can also be in tremendous peace.

For people who are saying, "I'm in a tough situation right now because I believe it's where God wants me, but I'm miserable, frustrated and unhappy," there's good news.

When God asks us to stay in a difficult situation, He provides a special grace for us to get through it. It's the kind of grace that leads others to look at us and think: Wow! I can't believe they're dealing with this and still have such peace! That's faith!

When we say things like, "I just don't think I can make it," we're essentially giving up, when we could just as easily trust God to help and sustain us.

If you are anxious, tense, or concerned about anything in your life, begin now to relax, let go, and let God fill your need. Learning to trust God for His grace on a daily basis will help you keep your thoughts and words in line with His Word.

No matter what seems to be missing from your life—be it a much-loved person, a special place, an activity of great value, or a feeling of well-being—know that when you pray God's light and substance and divine activity will move in and through you. God's creative process is awaiting your acceptance of its productive, healing action. Let your thoughts be lifted up. Let the presence of God dissolve your fears and doubts and remove every unbelief.

God's love and goodness will always fill every need in your circumstances, every hunger of your heart, every longing of your soul for peace and assurance, and every good desire for your well-being. Although it may now seem you are separated from that which has been your greatest avenue of comfort, security, or supply, remember: God is always there to help you. No matter how great the gulf seems between you and the solution to your deepest desire, you can call on Jehovah-Shammah as He is always there.

Begin now to relax from the strain and effort of questioning, planning, and reasoning. Take a few moments today to ask God: I need your help to let this go so that you, God, can  fill my need. Your prayers will be more effective, and your understanding of the presence of God within you will be clearer. When you ask our Lord God to help you know that He will never desert you or forsake you.

Intercession Prayer

I am thankful for this day; for this is the day that You have made. I will rejoice and be glad in it. I am thankful for the Blood of Jesus, knowing it cleanses us from all unrighteousness and allows us to come boldly to the throne of grace according to Hebrews 4:16. We are not moved by what we see, hear, smell, touch or taste. We are not moved by reason. We are only moved by Your Spirit and Your Word and we know Your Voice, and we hear Your Voice and we refuse to follow strangers according to John 10:27. Our seed is mighty upon the earth according to Psalms 112:2. Lord Jesus, I ask you to expand my territories; to fill me and increase me in the Holy Spirit and anointing with power. I ask You to lead me in paths of righteousness for Your Name’s Sake. I Bless You, Praise You, Worship You, and commit all that I am to You, that Your perfect will be done through me. I ask that You help me to cease from my own labors. I do so by faith. I ask that You cause me to enter Your Rest now, in Jesus’ Name and I receive that. I ask You to release my warring and ministering angels to minister and war on my behalf.

I ask you to fill this, Your temple; with your Shikinah Glory. Help me to bear the cross You have prepared for me and help those in my family. I ask that the Holy Spirit speak to my heart through Your Word. I ask that You prepare me with reverence and worship, and with humility through Your Holy Spirit. I ask that You take out of me, add to me or do to me; anything You want. I ask that the Word I read would be engrafted into me and become part of me; spirit, mind, will and emotions. I declare by Your power; You are helping and causing me to be bold, dauntless, fearless, confident, intrepid, valiant, steadfast, faithful, true and loyal for Your Name’s Sake. I ask You to deliver me where I am blind, wretched, naked, and poor. I ask for your help. I ask for help that Your Love and Grace in me; flow and be administered to others by Your Spirit in me, to manifest Your Presence in and through me. I release all things into Your hands and commit myself unto You, trusting You. I ask for help, that You give me the Word that You want me to give to others. Lord forgive me and help me to follow Your direction. I ask that You would send those that would receive the gift of salvation to me, that I may witness to them. Let them ask and receive, Father!

I ask that You give me a clear mind and thoughts toward You, clear will toward You, and clear of all emotional clutter. I ask that You cause me to hear You louder and clearer, and rest in You. I ask You to release Your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, with long-suffering, and self-control to flow over and in and throughout my life. I ask You to fashion my heart like Yours, that Your fruit will abound in and through me to others. I ask You Father for a clear, sharp, and healthy mind and body in You. Heavenly Father, I ask for Your perfect Will being worked out through my life and the lives of those that my life touch; as You direct me. I ask You for eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart to comprehend and receive what the Holy Spirit has to say. I ask to speak and to do Your perfect will in this life; for You, for me, and for my family. I ask You to guard me and my family with many angels and that they manifest as needed. I ask You to make me alert, awake, sharp and attentive in Your thoughts and ways. I ask that I may prosper in what I put my hands to do for You. I ask you to renew my youth like the eagles. I ask for a heart like Yours and growth and maturity to walk in it to the fullest with You; in Jesus’ Name. Amen!

Pray for The President of the United States

Picture
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:1-4)

In no uncertain terms, the Lord calls us to pray for our leaders. This is because no one person or group of people can change a country or get it back on track. And when we consider how our fellow Americans are suffering because of the downturn of the economy, rising unemployment, the deterioration of family, and escalating conflicts on the world stage, we quickly realize that only almighty God can truly help us.

In our Night of Prayer we dedicated an entire hour to praying for our President, Federal, Local and State Government as well as World Leaders. Our nation urgently needs our intercession. Today our President will address the nation concerning Syria. We do not know what the future holds but we can be confident that the Father honors the prayers of those who love Him and is faithful to answer us. And as we lift our nation up in prayer, I know we can make a difference regardless of how difficult our problems may be because we are taking the burdens of our country to the One who understands the way to victory.

So please join me in lifting up the United States and its leaders to the Lord, confidently knowing He will move on our behalf. Certainly, our loving Father will hear our prayers and heal our land (2 Chr. 7:14).

Enter into Intercessory Prayer For Our President

Dear Lord, We pray that You forgive the president for any un-forgiveness and that he will realize his personal sinfulness and his daily need for cleansing of his sin by You Lord. I ask Lord, that he would realize his personal inadequacy to fulfill his task and he be dependent upon You for wisdom, knowledge, and the courage to do what he knows to be right (1Timothy 2:2). We pray Lord that he would reject all counsel that violates Christian spiritual principles and that he would trust God to prove him right (Proverbs 4:5). We pray Lord, that he would resist those who would pressure him to violate his conscience and that by Your power, We ask You, Lord that he would be ready to forsake his personal ambition and political causes, if to do so would be for the good of the country (Proverbs 14:34). Lord, help him to rely upon prayer and the Word of God for his source of strength, courage, and wisdom for decisions in his daily walk (Daniel 2:21). Heavenly Father please restore dignity, honor, trustworthiness, and righteousness to the office of the Presidency of the United States of America and help him to remember to be a good example in his personal conduct for the fathers and sons of this nation to follow (Proverbs 13:10). Lord please guide him and let him listen with his heart and soul to those whom You have appointed to know the truth concerning Syria. Heavenly Father, we ask that You will remain the most important influence of our Presidents life and in his decisions regarding the leadership of our country. That he will love and practice mercy and justice that he will praise and adore You God. That he will act wisely, that he will live a life of integrity both in public and in private (Proverbs 21:1). That he will sense and know the presence of God in his life and that he will hate what is evil (Ephesians 1:9).

We ask, Lord Jesus, that he will not tolerate compromise in his life or in those who surround him. That he will keep his heart right with God and man that he would repent of sin and fight against it and that he will hate and avoid pride, evil talk, and slander (Proverbs 8:13). That he will appoint blameless and efficient men and women to positions of authority and that he will maintain blameless and godly standards, that lies and deceit would be unacceptable to him. Please Father, guide his path and help him not to falter and that he would labor with all his strength to eradicate ungodly, immoral laws; and that he would labor with all his strength to build a righteous foundation for this nation (Proverbs 5:1). Lead him, Lord Jesus, to be reminded daily that he is accountable to Almighty God for his position, and for the way he handles himself, for the decisions he makes will influence not only the present day, but also the future of the world. We ask You Lord to destroy all witchcraft prayers, their powers and effects off of the President. We ask You Lord to abide with him, to always hear Your Voice, in Jesus Name we pray,  Amen.

Power of Your Spoken Word

Picture
We can speak words about ourselves and others containing curses and spiritual death without realizing what we are doing. Proverbs 18:21 says, “death and life are in the power of the tongue” We need to practice the Words of God, speaking in love, with patience and kindness in every sentence. When our own words align with the Words of God we have a special connection to God. Our words truly have the power of life and death.

We must be very careful about what we say and how we say it.  It’s easy to put voice to our feelings and thoughts, but are those thoughts “captive to the obedience of Christ” (1 Corinthians 10:5)?  If our thoughts are Godly, then we should speak those words of life.  But, if our thoughts are birthed out of our own soul or from the enemy, then we cannot give those thoughts a voice.  We must guard our mouth and avoid speaking anything that does not produce life in us and in those around us.

James compares our tongue to the rudder on a ship (v3:6). This rudder, though it be very small, guides and directs this giant vessel.  There is tremendous power that pushes the ship through the water, but it’s the rudder that guides and tells it where to go. So it is with our tongue–our entire life is guided and directed by our tongue.

Stop guiding your life with words that are negative and condemning  Instead, start lining your words up with God’s Word and release the power of His Word to work for you.

Picture
Instead of speaking lack and poverty, say, “God’s Word tells me that the good things are already here. I therefore pronounce my life blessed. I pronounce my life prosperous. I pronounce my life great. Darkness and gloom, poverty and sickness, defeat and depression, will not be in my life!”

Instead of speaking sickness and death, say, “I will live a long life. I will not die young. Jesus died for me so that I can live long for Him. I am the righteousness of God in Christ and God’s Word declares that no evil befalls the righteous. So no evil will come on me now and in the future!”

Instead of speaking fear over your children, say, “God’s Word declares that the seed of the righteous shall be delivered. Therefore, my children are delivered from every curse, every power of darkness and every evil. In the name of Jesus, I call forth a great, bright and blessed future for my children!”

God wants you to have a life filled with good days and an abundance of every good thing. So say, “In the name of Jesus, I command blessings, favor, health, prosperity, protection, dominion and power to fill my life!”

Loose the power and effects of any word curses you have spoken upon yourself and others, whether unbeknownst or in anger. Repent of having spoken evil words, remembering that to repent means to turn away from ever speaking such evil words again. If you have spoken negative words about your children, your finances, your health, your spouse, your life or your relationship with God – get on your knees alone and bind these to the Will of God and loose the power and effects of any wrong words you have spoken. Pray today bind and loose the power and effects of any wrong words spoken about you or to you or about anyone and begin to speak God's power and life from your mouth!

    Intercession

Prayer is the expression of man’s dependence upon God and his confidence in Him. When God answers prayer, He magnifies His faithfulness. Prayer is releasing the energies of God and asking God to do what we cannot do. Prayer is the breathing and panting of the Spirit after God. Prayer is a soul struggle. It is the hardest work God has given His children, but it is their most important work.

    Each Tuesday in
The Sanctuary we set aside time for intercession. We pray that you are able to gain strength and comfort from our time of Intercession.
