11/26/2013 1 Comment It's A Good Thing To Give Thanks![]() “It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord…” (Psalm 92:1) Our culture has changed dramatically. That change is reflected in our language and in how we deal in relationships. Some very important phrases have all but disappeared and one of those phrases is "Thank You". It's really sad, that it has disappeared between people, but what is most disheartening is that it has disappeared between man and God! No one enjoys being taken advantage of, but people do it all the time to God. They enjoy His goodness and His blessings and never take time to thank Him. We are in the month of Thanksgiving and there is a great amount of people that use this month to begin to offer their thanks. That is truly a tragic thought. The Psalmist declared that it is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord. Giving thanks unto the Lord is good for each of us as it will take care of discouragement. 1 Thess. 5:18, "In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." It is easy to look at our own particular trials or disappointments and become discouraged. But if we can grasp the truth of that verse we can rejoice - God is in control and He knows what is best for His children. Giving thanks will increase our joy, increase our faith and give us hope. God is so good to us - sometimes we need to stop and consider all the blessings He has bestowed upon us. The greatest of all is Jesus Christ! If that doesn't make you happy - there is something wrong. Since God has already done so much for us; our hearts are encouraged about the future. Paul wrote, "Giving thanks unto the Father which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light." (Colossians 1:12). Talk about a bright future! Thank God - one day we will be with Him in eternity. Most importantly, tt will encourage others. Others are constantly watching our lives. As we give thanks - perhaps we may encourage someone else to offer thanksgiving. It will bring an awareness to them who have been taking God for granted. Psalms. 92:1 says, "It is a good thing … to sing praises unto thy name, O most High." When you go around singing praises unto God and others will want to know why - they will be uplifted also. It will bring joy unto God as He cares for us and He is gracious to meets our every needs and He deserves our thanksgiving We are entering into the season of Thanksgiving. However, giving thanks should not be regulated to just once a year. The Psalmist exhorts us to give thanks morning and evening. There is no limit upon God's goodness why should we cease to give thanks? Have you failed to thank Him for all His loving kindness? There's no better time than right now. Intercession PrayerThank you God for giving me another day, another chance to become a better individual, another chance to give and experience love. Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus, my Lord, my Savior. I come to You with a heart of thanksgiving. I thank you for all the good things in my life, for You are the Creator of all things good. Father, I thank You for Your Presence. For in Your Presence is the fullness of my joy and in Your Presence I am complete and whole. In Your Presence I have purpose. Because of Your Presence, I am glad to be here. Father, I thank You for Your plan, that I might have a full life and enjoy it and have it in abundance to overflowing.

11/20/2013 7 Comments I Declare and I DecreeThou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways. ~Job 22:28 We have often heard and read this passage of scripture but have you meditated on the meaning of this powerful word. Yes, I know that the prosperity gospel and the word-of-faith movement has done a lot of damage to believers in the faith. Believers have been indoctrinated into believing that they can speak things into existence and it has lured believers into thinking they are almost on an equal par with God. If we could just “declare and decree” things so that they happen or don’t happen, where is the dependence on God come in to this? How are we meant to trust in God as the bible says we should? Christ said if we ask anything in His name then it shall be done (John 14:13-14). We should not mistake positive confession with trusting and having faith in God. Let's analyze truly how to decree and declare according to God's Word. According to the dictionary decree is defined as a rule of law issued by a head of state. It has the force of the law. In biblical times, the King had the authority to make decrees. The decree was a written document and would be very specific and clear about that subject matter. It was law and had to be carried out according to the King's wishes and failure to obey the decree was punishable. The word established means: to set up on a firm or permanent basis, to achieve permanent acceptance or recognition for, to show, reveal to be true based upon the facts. Now, let us look at the definition for declare. Declare to make known or state clearly, especially in explicit or formal terms: to declare one's position in a controversy; to announce officially; proclaim: to declare a state of emergency; to declare a winner. To state emphatically to show, reveal, or manifest: the heavens declare the glory of God. Job 22:28 says that, "Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways". The person making the decree must be in a position of power and authority to do so. When you are a child of the Most High, He has given you have the power and authority to make a decree and expect that they will be carried out. You shall decree, the power is yours, state your case and write out the conditions regarding your home, family, ministry and all that concern you. The words that you speak will be established. That means it will be manifested, revealed and shown to be true, as you have spoken it. Let's take a look at an example from Scripture. ![]() Ezekiel 37:4 says, “Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord!” So God told Ezekiel to prophesy to dry bones. But again if you continue to read, you will realize that God was the One in charge here not Ezekiel. “ This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’(Ezekiel 37:5-6) And so Ezekiel, a mere man, prophesied as God commanded him. And because it was God’s Word the bones came into life! “So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them". The word of God is life, it is quick and it is powerful. It is truth, it corrects, it enlightens, it heals, it delivers and it brings visible results. It does not return without accomplishing that which it was sent to do. (Isaiah 55:11). We are to hide scripture in our heart and meditate on it daily, holding on to God’s promises for those who are in Him and those who He is in. But we cannot misinterpret scripture to make us not need to depend on Him. God said trust in Him and He will provide for us. God’s written word is His decree, and we should declare it aloud and give it voice each and every day. There is great power in your mouth. Use it!! Decree and Declare Prayer Heavenly Father, I come to You now in the Name of my Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. I thank You that the prayer I make to You, that You will hear me. Father, I thank You that when I decree, declare and proclaim a thing; that You will establish it for me and light will shine on my ways according to Job 22:27-28. 11/13/2013 0 Comments Pray The Door Shut!![]() Truly, we were not created to know everything ourselves, but to look outside of ourselves for higher wisdom - we were created with an empty God-spot that only heavenly spiritual connection can fill. Our spiritual nature is part of the great three balances that we need to attain and maintain a happy life - physical, emotional and spiritual health. Although we may try to put fame, fortune, relationships or material possessions into that spot, nothing will fill it but what it was made for - spiritual connection. So the problem is not that we are looking; the problem is how and from whom. We live in a world where what is seen with our eyes and heard with our ears is not hardly as much as the eyes and ears that see and hear us. What does this mean? There is a vast invisible world of good and evil around us every moment of every day and we open this portals and doors to these spirits through various ways. Are there things that we or family members have done that have invited negative forces into our home? If so, what would the signs be? Is there something we might be unknowingly doing that open them? And more importantly, how can we safely close and lock down these demonic doors? What is the difference between being attacked and opening a door or portal? An attack can be a one-time thing, or occur several times through places of damage in our shield of free will. A portal is where an invitation has been made through use of a material object or action which now becomes a channel for spirits not of God to move through as they please, as many as they want, for constant attacks. Not all that is invisible is there to scare us, but not all are there to help us either. There are demons and spirits who are all too willing to pretend to be someone they are not, and to mislead and ruin us if left unchecked. Our free will is a shield that can get holes in it, and holes open us up to attack and manipulation by these entities. This can create suffering from unexplainable, prolonged, repetitive or unusual health problems, severe depression, constant assaults on finances, physical health or family and relationships and many other debilitating problems; even to the point of wanting to commit suicide. This is the ultimate goal of evil - wanting the person to feel separated from God, their loved ones, even themselves - that they are "crazy" and hopeless and lost, so that they will ultimately destroy themselves. This is not what God wants, today pray this prayer to "Shut the Doors" to those spirits and things so that we can become whole and free again. Intercession PrayerLord Jesus Christ I come to You, I confess any participation in : drugs, the occult, sexual sin, cult like materials, pornography, perverse movies & literature, ungodly books that reject God’s Truth, childhood sin, any time I have taken part in lust, rape, incest, molestation, physical abuse and/or verbal abuse, passivity of body, passivity of emotions, passivity of mind, passivity of will, mind control, domination, astrology, charmers, consulting familiar spirits, diviners, enchanters, false prophets, magicians, necromancer, observer of times, soothsayers, sorcerers, witches, wizards, palm reading, doctrine of divers and strange doctrines. I repent or turn from these things in my life. I receive by faith my forgiveness of my sins. I ask You to totally set me free in all these areas. I ask You Lord to force out all demonic spirits from me that are associated with these things, and keep all demonic spirits associated with these things from coming back on me, my family members, my houses, cars, lands, properties, work place, marriage, and finances. I ask You Lord to make me whole, complete, and of a sound and sober mind in You Lord Jesus Christ. Lord help me to form new and healthy mindsets, and habits. Lord Jesus Christ, any attachments to this world such as lust of the eye, pride of life, and lust of the flesh, cares and riches of this world, pleasures of this world, that try to control me I ask You to sever, break those evil ties from me. Bring into my life other children of God who have conquered and stood strong in these areas so I will be accountable to You and others, becoming more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus, amen. Lord Jesus Christ I ask You to shut all demonic avenues & doors that have been opened in my life and my family members due to any participation in of these things. Lord we ask You to shut any doors that have been opened through the following types of divination: astrology, charmers, consult familiar spirits, diviners, enchanters, false prophets, magicians, necromancer, observer of times, soothsayers, sorcerers, witches, wizards, and palm reading. Lord, any doors I have opened by sin or the sin of entering in with doctrine of divers and strange doctrine. I ask You to shut those demonic avenues & doors , cover them in the Blood of Jesus, seal them shut so they cannot be reopened. Amen! Loving and praying for those who persecute or mistreat us may be one of the hardest prayers we as Christians are called to pray. By definition, our enemy is one who is actively opposed or hostile to someone or something. In our lives as Christians, our enemies are those who persecute or try to impede us from doing the will of our Father. They may be a constant distraction or annoyance or they may be actively working against us. How difficult is it to even embrace the thought of loving someone that is actively working against what God has called us to do? How much does it hurt when it is someone that we already love and trust that comes against us? Well, think about it. Would a person we don't love and trust be as effective a distraction as someone we didn't hold close or in high regard? Satan is our true enemy and anyone that serves as a persecutor or detractor has allowed themselves to be used by him (Ephesians 6:12). The would is deeper and the hurt is greater when those persecuting us or mistreating us as we walk with God is someone we know and love. The hurt we experience sometimes causes us to get in our flesh and lash out before we are fully aware of what we are doing. Sometimes, we sit and think--pointedly how we will get back at this person for mistreating us, as it is human nature to hate our enemies. but the Bible admonishes us to act quite different. We are to pray to God for their forgiveness (Luke 23:34a). We are to love our enemies and pray for those that persecute us (Matthew 5:43-45a; Luke 6:27-28). We are to be merciful as God is merciful to us (Luke 6:36). Last, but not least, we are not to repay evil for evil so there is no getting back at those who have persecuted or mistreated us. We are not to be overcome by evil. Instead, we are to overcome evil with good (Romans 12:17-21). The mere fact that the person in question is agreeable to raising up against one who is busy in the work of the Lord is proof enough that they are in need of prayer. We intercede on their behalf that they are rescued from the dominion of darkness (Colossians 1:13-14). We pray that they will come to know the peace of Christ and that it will rule in their hearts (Colossians 3:15). We pray that they will truly become one of God’s children, holy and dearly loved, clothed with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience (Colossians 3:12). We pray that until God's perfect work is done in them that we are protected with the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). Enter Into Intercession Father, we come to You now in the Name of our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, who prayed for, forgave and loved his enemies. We have a perfect example of unconditional love in Your Son, who prayed for those who crucified, for they know not what they were doing. The Lord Jesus was a living example of love. He showed us how to completely forgive every injury that we my be reconciled with those who hurt or mistreat us. |
IntercessionPrayer is the expression of man’s dependence upon God and his confidence in Him. When God answers prayer, He magnifies His faithfulness. Prayer is releasing the energies of God and asking God to do what we cannot do. Prayer is the breathing and panting of the Spirit after God. Prayer is a soul struggle. It is the hardest work God has given His children, but it is their most important work. If you have a Archives
