Kingdom State of Mind

"Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." ~ Matthew 6:10

When you pray, do you pray only for the purpose of making personal requests to God to build the life and empire you think you deserve?  In some regard, almost everyone alive is working to build his or her own kingdom. However, as Believers, we aren't called to build our own kingdoms, we’re called to advance the good Kingdom that is already established.  God’s Kingdom.  And prayer is not an attempt to bend God to our human perspective. Prayer is the believer's willingness to bend the human will to God's perspective. A mature Believer allows God to expand their perspective in prayer and to gain the perspective of God, one must pray with the commitment to listen to God and obey. Our Father is seeking those who will listen and obey and not just listen and obey but be used for His Kingdom purposes. 

God is at work in this world enlarging his kingdom. He has chosen to use people to extend His kingdom, but the people God uses must be yielded to him, so He can do his work through them. The prayer of Jabez shows us the kind of person through whom God can do extraordinary things. Jabez prayed, "Lord, oh that you would enlarge my territory" (1 Chronicles 4:10). We live in a world filled with people who are content with mediocrity. Jabez is praying, "Lord, when it comes to my personal investment in the growth of your kingdom, I will not settle for mediocrity. I want the vision for your kingdom to be expanded. I want to be in the middle of what you are doing in this world. I want you to do something in and through my life that represents your greatness. Lord, get me out of my comfort zone. Expand my vision. Stretch my faith." When a prayer is prayed from the motive of God's glory—this is a prayer one can be confident God will hear and answer. God will answer this prayer to reveal to the world just how good and great He is. 

As our Father manifests His spiritual calendar here on earth in this Gregorian New Year of 2015, will you use every opportunity to advance our Father's Kingdom here on earth or will you steadily construct your own? The mindset of a Kingdom citizen should be, "Lord, use every circumstance of life for the advancement of your gospel" and our prayer should be "Lord, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven."

Enter Into Prayer

Dear Father, 

I set aside my personal desires and submit myself to your plans, and your ways, as you build a dwelling place for your glory – that your Will, will be done in me as it is in heaven.  I declare that as a true disciple, I will be brought into the full measure of the stature of Christ Himself. Open my spiritual senses that I might see, hear and perceive the initiatives of heaven.

I am living Your Word. I am a part of Your covenant through Jesus Christ. You have called me to position myself to achieve, but I confess that I allowed pride, doubt and the lack of belief to cripple your advancement thru me. Clearly my greatest challenge is to believe that I can. But I know I can since Your Word, the blueprint for my life declares that, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me".

Help me oh God to know my position in You; help me to declare the Word over my life; help me to live Your Word. Help me to claim my heritage in You that I am the head and not the tail. This is my position Father, so help me to move beyond the notion that I should be satisfied with what life throws at me. Help me therefore not to settle for mediocrity but always seeking to raise the standard, for Your desire is for me to move up and take dominion.

I declare a loosing of the entanglements of unrighteous and demonic cultures from my mind, heart, mouth, hand and feet. I renounce any territorial lines and curses spoken to empower Satan's kingdom over me. I bind and rebuke anything representing Satan's kingdom that would endeavor to come against me, the body of Christ. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I come against anything or anyone conspiring against my advancement in the Kingdom. I declare that I am on the upward path, no weapon formed against me shall prosper. 

I ask for your wisdom to maintain a Kingdom State of mind. I ask that You empower me to take dominion and forcibly advance your Kingdom on this earth. I call forth the spirit of God and to open the portals of Heaven and the Wells of the Spirit to bring forth every blessing you have promised me in Your Word. I am the head and not the tail. I thank You God for this position in You. Amen.
