10/30/2013 0 Comments Worship Brings A Word in Your Season![]() "To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven." ~Ecclesiastes 3:1 Seasons come and go; they have a beginning and an end. We just finished summer, which is the time that what we planted is blossoming and we're in fall, which is the time we harvest the fruit from our hard work. The farmer coordinates his activities by seasons because he knows it will produce the most fruit in it's season. Just like the seasons of the year, our faith has seasons. Do you know the seasons or your faith or what season you are in? Jesus used the parable of the fig tree (Matt 24:29-31) to illustrate that we need to be aware of our spiritual surroundings and seasons. One of the greatest tragedies for Christians is they do not recognize the season they are in. Spiritual seasons are not spiritual conditions of the you nor a way of measuring Godliness. God ordains spiritual seasons to provide the greatest spiritual fruit bearing and the greatest spiritual growth. God's seasonal plan includes periods of growth and periods of rest. Recognizing the season you're in and responding appropriately to that season, is the best way to insure continued spiritual growth and a life that bears Godly fruit. It's beneficial to learn to be comfortable with the season that God has ordained for you and allow God to move you from season to season. There are times of reflection, there are periods of vision, there are times when the when we will grieve and mourn and a time of revival. Allow Him to minister to you according to the current season not according to the last or next season. And as we're in the different seasons it is essential for us to be in touch with God . Doing this maximizes the spiritual growth and the production of spiritual fruit. We must be sensitive to the season we're in and develop our worship accordingly and remember that God's grace, favor, anointing, revelation Word are in each of our spiritual seasons.

10/23/2013 0 Comments Free To....One of things that I have been very humbled by lately is the space we have in our relationship with God to just…be. There is something liberating in knowing that I don’t have to be in fear of exposing my true self with God because, not only does He already know EXACTLY who I am, but He knows who He created me to be. He is not in a relationship with the sum of my experiences, heartbreaks, wins, losses, triumphs or failures. He is in a relationship with the me He created me to be. He has a will and perfect plan for my life and He gave His only Son so that I may walk in His will for my life. James 8:38 says, “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” God loves us on the days we are afraid to walk through the gate, though it has been flung wide open for us and the chains have been broken. He loves us on the days we walk through the gate gingerly and with trepidation. He loves us on the days that we can’t even see the gate and He reminds us that it is there and that we are free. In God’s presence we are free. Free to worship, to love, to cry, to dance, to sing, to hurt, to heal…to just be. Isn’t that a wonderful feeling? For someone to know EVERYTHING there is to know about you and love you anyway? I mean really love every fiber of your being? Love every hair on your head? Even on the days when you don’t love yourself (1 John 3:1)! My God! That is God! That is love and God is love. I have been in praise and worship to God during a significant storm and I just really know in this moment, in this place, being near Him, that being in relationship with God is not a burden, it is not a tempered walk in condemnation, as some would have us think (Galatians 5:1). It is the most freeing experience I have ever had and I am so humbled and honored to be in His presence and to feel free. Oh how I love this place of worship! ~Veronica F. 10/16/2013 0 Comments Worship in Your Barren Land"Sing, O childless woman, you who have never given birth! Break into loud and joyful song, O Jerusalem, you who have never been in labor. For the desolate woman now has more children than the woman who ![]() Can you imagine the reaction of a barren woman in ancient Israel upon being told to sing? There were few things more shameful in those days for a woman than not being able to bear children. Doubtless she would have been ridiculed by other women and may have even felt abandoned by God. Sometimes a woman was set aside by her husband because she was unable to bear children. The Lord's remedy for barrenness was worship. There have been instances where God has opened the wombs of barren women who came before him with songs of supplication and praise. Songs of healing prayer have been a tool to bring about the healing of various physical illnesses. In addition, this song of the barren reaches to areas of spiritual barrenness. We all have areas in our lives where we do not see fruit. It could be the fruit of reconciliation with a family member, the blossoming of a relationship or maybe a business, a particular ministry that has not yet been realized or a physical problem that continues to bring anguish. It could be that it is time to address that barrenness with the power of song. You might find that God will bring about a spiritual breakthrough in those areas of bondage in your life. Jesus told us that those who believe in him would have rivers of living water that would flow from our hearts. If you feel that your river has run dry and left your spiritual land barren I suggest you do as Moses and Israel did. From there they went to Beer, which is the well where the Lord said to Moses, Gather the people together, and I will give them water. Then Israel sang this song: Spring up, O well! All of you sing to it ... (Numbers 21:16-17) Do you have a barren place in your life? Do you find yourself in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water? Today allow the Father to quench your thirsty soul, allow the song minister to your barrenness and bring water to your soul and guide you through your barren land. 10/9/2013 0 Comments Atmosphere of Faith![]() Atmosphere is important. Faith can create an atmosphere. In the atmosphere of faith miracles can and will take place. An atmosphere is a surrounding influence with a dominate effect or appeal. How is this "atmosphere of faith" created? Can we or are we to have a part in creating this atmosphere in which God can operate? Anyone who wants to achieve something in life therefore must be concerned about the atmosphere he creates and permits around him. The biblical definition of real faith is found in the book of Hebrews. The Scriptures plainly state that “faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not [yet] seen” (Hebrews 11:1). Substance means assurance, realization, something like a title or deed to a house or piece of property. Evidence entails proof One of the biggest reasons for the lack of faith today is that doubt and skepticism permeates our culture. You must understand have the power to create the faith atmosphere around you. The believer must establish to be single minded in promoting an atmosphere of faith around them all the time, whether at home, work, around friends, church etc. We must be people that are faith inclined in everything that we do and go through. Unfortunately, many believers are negative and doubt inclined, thus they are always in an atmosphere that is full of negativity and doubt which can brush of on those that surround them. When Jesus was walking on this earth he carried an atmosphere of faith with him, wherever he went doubt and negative attitudes had to disappear. You remember the time when Jairus’ daughter in Mark 5:39-40 had died and Jesus arrives at Jairus house and all the people were crying and mourning, What did Jesus do? He put them out of the house and began to introduce an atmosphere of faith that would get the job done. Thus, the little girl was raised from the dead and a great miracle happened on that glorious day. Jesus transformed the atmosphere from doubt to faith, from negative to positive, from sadness to joy. You and I can do the same thing. Know this, the people that surround you create your atmosphere. The things they say to you help to form your thoughts and opinions, and these create the atmosphere around you. The music you listen to and the programs you watch create your atmosphere. Music leaves an impression on your mind which affects everything around you. The thoughts you think (your mental disposition) create your atmosphere. Faith is important. Hebrews 11:6 has made it clear that without faith, it is impossible to please God. So, today enter into worship to create a conducive atmosphere for faith to thrive and produce the miraculous results. ![]() We’ve all had our share of showers. Lately it seems everyone I know is going through some type of personal storm. It’s seems we’ve navigated through pretty deep waters to our current location only to find ourselves being tossed about, battered by the wind, the waves, and now—torrential downpours. How did we end up here if we heard and headed the voice we knew to be God’s? The turmoil and tribulations we find ourselves weathering seem to be like sheets of rain with no end in sight. What do we do? I know I, myself, felt as though a hurricane ripped through my life a few weeks ago. I remember having a conversation with God and asking Him, “If I did as You instructed, how am I here and what do I do now?” Even as I prayed for the desires of my heart and believed for the outcome I thought to be right, it seemed the doors were being blown off the hinges of my life and the windows were being sucked out of the frames of my dreams. The storm was ever present and I was sitting right in the middle of it praying for the preservation of my foundation. I prayed that God would help me repair what was being ripped to shreds before my eyes. For several days, all I could ask is, “Lord, what do I do now?” When I heard from God, I kept hearing water. I had just experienced an emotional hurricane and I was being reminded of the water. I called to remembrance God’s invitation to come out from my place of comfort at the shoreline and join Him at the deep end of the ocean, where things would probably get rough and rocky, and, at times, cold and dark. I remembered that with just a small amount of faith, Peter walked on the water to Jesus. I remembered that even when Peter’s doubt stirred up along with the wind, Jesus reached out to him and saved him (Matthew 14:22-33). I was helped to remember, by those God sent to intercede on my behalf as Jesus did for Peter, that God is faithful and that I was given this life because I am strong enough, through Jesus, to endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13). I was reminded that trials are blessings to those who love the Lord (James 1:12). I began to really understand what it means to consider tribulations with joy (James 1:2). Especially those things that seem to come upon us unexpectedly, out of nowhere and blindside us (1 Peter 4:12) and I began to praise God right in the middle of the storm. I am still enduring the storm, but I’m singing and dancing through it and walking on the water the storm leaves in its wake. God is with me and I am rejoicing and exulting in hope; steadfast and patient in suffering and tribulation; vigilant in prayer. I urge you, right in the midst of your personal storm, a storm that may very well have left you in a flooded valley, put on your brightest rain boots, your favorite raincoat and dance in the middle of the storm. God will be there with you and He will cause it all to work for your good (Romans 8:28). God is watching over you. I know because I asked Him to (James 5:14-16). ~Veronica F. |
What is Worship?
The Apostle Paul described true worship perfectly in Romans 12:1:
“I urge you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God which is your spiritual service of worship." Worship is first of all an experience. It may express itself through certain forms, but it is not primarily a form. It is an experience. It is a consciousness of the presence of God and a response to that consciousness. Worship expresses itself as an outreach of the deepest emotions of the soul in adoration, reverence, homage, exaltation, and praise to the Almighty.
